They closed the swimming pool in the middle of the afternoon while check is at 3pm because there was a wedding taking place at the hotel. The only reason why we booked this hotel was to be be able to enjoy the pool. The hotel mamager was terrible at handling the situation. Multiple customers complained, she didn t do a thing and did not communicate properly.

The breakfast option was pathetic. Just don't even offer it if that's what you are going to call breakfast. The beds were too small. We only had one coffee cup one room. There was a random spoon lying in the floor outside near the door the entire time that no one ever picked up.

Beautiful grounds. For the price the amenities and rooms could use a lot of improvements.

Property is clean, quiet and stately. Guests can see that it is being invested in and being upgraded in phases, so it is a bit of a mixed experience at the moment. Nonethless I would recommend.

The property is in very poor condition. I was told that the hotel was damaged in a recent storm. Pretty clearly, lots of water damage throughout the property. The investment of $5-$10 Million is needed to restore this place to its former glory. That said, the staff is professional and mostly helpful.

No food or coffee available in the shabby breakfast room. Walked in the front door at 10:00pm to hear the alarm system sounding and no one in the reception area, just a sign stating “Staff will be back at 7:00am.” Oh my.

The Glen Cove Mansion is beautiful from the outside, it seems to have nice amenities, pool, spa, but we didn't get to use them. The grounds are beautiful, the location was great for us, visiting friends in the area and playing golf down the road. The rooms are terrible, and a long walk. Ours had no rug, broken phone, no bureau or dresser under the tv, just a plug in dorm fridge, and no desk chair, and was next to a storage closet. Fortunately, they were able to move us to a better room, but the rooms do not match the misleading beauty of the mansion itself.

This place is a disgrace and apparently has been for a long time but is one of the very few hotels in the area. I would never stay here again and left after one night of a paid two night stay. Shameful service in every facet of my stay which is rare for a hotel

Nothing good or positive about this nightmare hotel. It should be shutdown so other cistomers are spared this nightmare.

I was told by the Glen Cove Mansion Manager that due to construction, the roof collapsed on some of the rooms. So, I could not check in or stay there.
