The room was a good size, the bed (mattress, bedding) and pillow were excellent - I dare say even better than at home!
Generally clean, but we found some chocolate wrappers under our bed. Some of the linen is showing obvious wear and tear, and so are some of the curtains.
But generally very comfortable room.
Good selection for breakfast (including premium options) but standard 'hot' items were no more than lukewarm - would highly recommend a better way of keeping pre-cooked items hot.
Leisure facilities fine, but unfortunately the hot tub was not at the right temperature during our two night stay. Leisure facility staff told us the hot tub had not been functioning properly for a number of days and that they too were frustrated with it (and in the process mentioned that other parts of the hotel had been upgraded while some of the leisure facilities were in need of it too). On our second day I asked reception staff if they could check with the leisure staff if hot tub was functioning properly again, and lady at the desk said she would call our room with an update. After waiting for an hour for her call she had not yet (don't make any promises you can't keep), so I went up to reception again and spoke to a manager. The very friendly manager appeared not to know about the ongoing issues with the hot tub (bad internal communication) and offered us some compensation for the inconvenience (discount on our dinner at the hotel restaurant).
Generally very pleasant stay.
