Used to be better managed. They have been overwhelmed with too many tourists and guests, causing the service level to drop. There has been few occasions where the sheets were not changed or towels were not provided upon check in because they are just too busy and ran out of clean towels.
Stayed at GLOW countless times before but on this trip I booked the hotel for my parents and by their account, the service was much worse than before. No welcome drink was served (used to be served upon check in), when asking for towels which weren't in the room upon check-in around mid-day the staff said they had to wait until 4-5PM...poor service overwhelmed by high occupancy rates it seems... the hotel needs to work on beefing up the efficiency of service.
have stayed here multiple times since its opening few years back and it still is my premier choice when visiting penang. the hotel is maintained in good condition, staffs are friendly and efficient.

Stayed here multiple times: Likes: Central location, clean, comfy, attentive staff, priced reasonably, the gym is tiny but usable, cool bar area. Not so... The breakfast is ok though a bit bland and sound insulation especially for the connecting door between rooms need a bit of work~
Stayed here multiple times already, love the location on Macalister Road, within walking distance to food hawkers and within 30 mins drive from anywhere on Penang Island. Clean, good service, priced adequately with comfy rooms. Is the hotel of choice for me for trips to Penang.
The hotel condition & room are clean, and located at the center of hawker foods. The breakfast is sufficient with fruits, bread, porridge plus trimmings, good coffee, milk, juice, etc. Staffs are exceptionally polite & helpful. The swimming pool & gym, however, are tiny. Overall, it's a recommended place to stay.
Short walk from shopping centers, or 3 min from bus stop. Nice, quiet rooms and good reception service. Good internet. Breakfast was included. Only negative point is the swimming pool: too close to the bar and the restaurant with no real area to lay down. But I would definitively go back to this hotel.
