Imagine waking up in the morning to the soothing sound of the gentle lapping of waves on the beach. Only seconds later from your Studio, you could be enjoying the first swim of the day in the incredibly blue & calm sea of Hoopers Bay - undisturbed by any other people.
Later, take out one of our kayaks to further explore the bay or spend some time snorkeling.
Too much activity? Then just relax & unwind on one of our beach loungers or sea-floats until time comes for a cool drink.
SHEER BLISS in the BAHAMAS!
Just a few seconds through our tropical garden onto the calm, sandy 1/2 mile (1km) long and protected Hoopers Bay beach (also called Turtle Beach) which is regarded as the best to stay on in Exuma. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, watching the turtles or simply relaxing under the coconut trees whilst for the more active we have kayaks to explore the bay. You can even keep your rental boat all the time on our buoy at the beach
The Studio in our modern villa 'Coral Sands' is completely self contained with its own private separate entrance and faces the beach. We have been renting 'Coral Sands' for many years on HomeAway and the reviews from the many very satisfied guests can be read on our main listing. The Studio has a King sized bed (or 2 Twins if preferred), bathroom with tub and shower, kitchenette with hot-plates, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee makers etc, dining and lounge area plus outdoor sundeck with table and chairs for relaxing or enjoying al-fresco meals. It is equipped with a/c, ceiling fan, and STARLINK high speed internet & TV and DVD player If required, there is enough space for a crib or small bed for a child.

Located between the international airport ( 5 miles ) and George Town (3 miles) there are a variety of well stocked local shops within 5 minutes easy walk for groceries, butcher, deli, pharmacy and liquor. Therefore no long trips to the shops and just a short distance from a restaurant for breakfast or lunch or to take away.
Therefore a great location and great value. Come to relax and enjoy !!

Awesome location

Location could not have been better. It was mid island and mid (secluded) beach. Perfect. The host Peter was so friendly and informative. We really enjoyed him. The apartment was smaller than the 600 sq ft but we realize that measurement must have included the porch. Also the bedding was really old so it didn’t as clean as I would have hoped. I think if they updated the cover (without small stains) it would be just fine. Not a cooks kitchen. Having said that, it was definitely worth the stay. We felt it was simple and perfect in its simplicity.

its hard to pick which is more amazing, the house and beach or the hosts, Peter and Betty. walk out the door to one of the most picturesque and tranquil beaches you can imagine. close by groceries and supplies as well as the amazing fish fry. this was our third time and there will be more. 1st the hosts Peter & Betty were a delight, they live on site and were totally available but were also unintrusive . The apartment was as described also a perfect springboard to explore all Exuma has to offer! Hoopers Bay is amazing too!To some it up, we loved every minute of our stay!!!

Amazing vacation! Prime location!

We just got back from our week long stay at Coral Sands and it was amazing! The location can’t be beat! The beach was AMAZING and we only saw a few couples at a time. We did swim with the turtles about every day, probably our favorite part of the whole trip! We did go on the 4 C’s excursion (all day) and I highly recommend it. We stayed in the studio apartment portion of the house and it was very nice. It did have everything you would need to cook meals, I would recommend some larger pans/skillets. The bed to me was pretty hard and the pillows a little flat but do able. We did have a little issue with our upstairs neighbors walking across our patio and peaking into our room and we woke up to them every morning moving furniture across the patio. Also, the WiFi will not reach the downstairs studio so we had to go upstairs on the patio if we needed it. So if that’s something that would bother you I would upgrade to the upstairs units Peter has (they are very nice too) My husband and I plan on coming back to Coral Sands in the future and we will definitely bring family this time! Peter was awesome and very helpful! I highly recommend Corals Sands!!! Exuma was amazing!! Thank you Peter & Betty!

We would recommend it without hesitation!

We loved our stay at Coral Sands! We were looking for a place where we could get away from the fast pace of life and enjoy natural beauty. We appreciated having a grocery store in walking distance and the flexibility we had in I'm making our own meals. Peter was very welcoming and helped us orient to the island highlights. We could require regarding any activity that interested us and receive honest, accurate feedback. The studio was homey and the view gorgeous. The internet was sporadic during our stay due to circumstances beyond anyones control. We used our phones to communicate as needed. If you plan for internet to be your primary source of communication, we recommend having a secondary option as well. It was a lovely vacation!
