Looks good from outside professional staff to greet you and get your credit card details, but once you get past the front desk its all down hill (apart from the lift which was actually my favourite experiences here) Its very smelly, scruffy, and tired looking.Another wing is attached to the main hotel but that one looks derelict . In our room the large double bed was comfortable and the overall cleanliness in our room was acceptable. we requested a room with a view and were not disappointed but a comfortable chair or two would have been good. Our party had two rooms here and both rooms were in a similar state of "extreme tiredness and in need of a re-fit" Facilities in the rooms were very few and outside was no better there is no bar area but 2 vending machines dispense coffee or soft drinks I tried for coffee with no success. the majority of clients in this hotel industrial workers, many crossing over into Switzerland as the border is so close,Every evening including weekends the car park fills up with builders vans from all over Europe but by 08.30 the car park is nearly empty I CAN CATEGORICALLY STATE THAT NEITHER I NOR ANY MEMBER OF MY FAMILY WOULD STAY ANOTHER NIGHT HERE
Don't stay in this hotel there is constant noise and you cannot sleep you hear every drunk guest that comes in from 2300 to 200 hours. The place was very far away from t Geneva, it takes about an hour to get to Geneva.
The hotel looks rather shabby and the (cooking) smells on the floors are not always pleasant. The room itself was okay: spacious and clean. Although the dining part of the living room could have been a bit larger and the kitchen a bit smaller. My main concern though was the absence of a sprinkler system and fire hoses. There were only a few fire extinguishers that are not sufficient in case of a fire. Since every appartment has a kitchen a fire is not imaginary. So we didn't feel safe. Staff is friendly and speaks English. Wifi is very fast
Basic amenities but WiFi works well. Refrigerator primitive with broken parts. Shower was a disaster, badly installed, sprayed water all over the floor. Good heating and hot water. Old fashioned key entry, door not self locking, no inside security bolt. Property well located and front desk staff friendly and efficient. Needs upgrading.
Stayed in this hotel for one week. Old, dirty, stinky, noisy structure. Furniture definitely needs refurbishing. Free wifi but weak signal. Pluses are the large, free parking, courtesy of staff and location, that makes it a cheap solution in the Geneva area.
When you see an army going to bed men in the breakfast room at about 20.00you have no desire either to to take a breakfast over there and you are afraid to go out of your room at the night time. Small things as the switch un reachable to get the light over the stove are not interesting now, after the impact what one may see!
The title says it all really, amazing welcome on arrival from Sarah on reception who couldn't have been more helpful, but our room was tired and in need of a total refurbish. It cost 90euros per night which is a good rate but I would be prepared to pay more for a more comfortable apartment next time we visit this area. The room was very clean and the bed linen and towels were fresh, but the drab bathroom and the poorly equipped kitchen let it down. Divonne has an excellent Sunday market that offers for sale the most amazing cheeses, breads, meats etc....
Good location - liked Divonne very much. Plenty of eating places and perfect touring base. Also just 15 mins from airport. Staff excellent, Breakfast was worth taking. Apartments need refurbish, especially the bathrooms which would make you put this place of your excellent value for money list.
Overall very good experience, except that the hotel management allocated an undervalued apartment than what was booked/paid for, so this was very disappointing when the family arrived @ late night on first night. However, following staying for a further night, we were lucky to be given the type of the appointment as shown/described at the time of booking. Alexia at the reception while quite fluent in English, was also extremely considerate and courteous in acknowledging the mistake on the part of the Hotel and in subsequent swapping of the apartment. The rest of the stay was very pleasant. You must have your own car to go around as no significant public transport facilities were visible around the area. The whole area has a pleasant feel. Secondly, I would suggest to double check with the Hotel staff the type of the room/Appartment you have seen/booked over a website to avoid any surprises.
An excellent budget residence hotel. Excellent location if you have a car. Good basis for daily trips in Geneva, Divonne and the Lake Geneva area. It is a beautiful area; Switzerland and France. The facility is very basic, good value for your money. The apartments are including basic facilities.
