Very Good

We had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and quite clean as well as nicely decorated. We were on the top floor so unfortunately there were slats on the windows that blocked a lot of the natural light during the evening but mid day it was still plentiful. Very close to the castle (quite literally across the street) and a 10 or so minute walk to the Bakırcılar çarşısı. Which was great. It’s also very close to the hamam museum and the culinary museum which made placement ideal. Tons of restaurants in the area and a few tea houses. Mehmet Ali was a phenomenal host and even helped us get dinner the last night as we were too tired to walk anywhere else! He had tons of knowledge of the area and recommendations. I would definitely stay here again.
Gents who manage the site are extremely hospitable, kind and helpful professionals. in case I need anything, they assisted me right away! since i was a bit sick, i asked for hot water and so on multiple times and they helped me out with pleasure. room was ideal. general ambiance was quite historic and authentic. neighborhood is fantastic in terms of food choices which is the remark of the city! great cast view is a big plus!
Nice room. Small beds and plenty of light. the walls are thin so you hear a lot of chatter coming from the garden.
I was fairly comfortable during my stay at this hotel. It is convenient as it is walking distance from the bus stops and restaurants and shops.
Located close to the castle,. There are many brass/bronze, spice and pastery shops around. The hotel is unique and has older decor in the rooms which gives you the feeling of staying in a hotel a hundred years ago. Breakfast was standard. I stayed here in January so the bathroom was really cold. The price is right at this hotel.

No good
No thick and dark curtains to block the sunlight as sunrise at 4.30am. Room became very bright by 5am. Moreover many noisy pigeons at rooftop. Impossible to sleep after 5am. Annoying.
This was a fun little place as a solo traveler. The room was cozy. The staff was really warm, drinking tea with me and letting me use their own phone charger since mine from the US wouldn't work. My taxi driver actually brought me to the wrong hotel from the airport, and the staff from this hotel came to pick me up!
