I liked that it was close to everything but I didn't like the room carpet looked bad everything was out of date and the bathtub would not drain properly had to get someone to drain it then left it in a mess

Overall ok. Staff are friendly. A lot of noise travels into rooms. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean. Unfortunately, no pool or hot tub as advertised. They were on the property but not open. Which really put a damper on things as this was one of the main reasons this hotel was booked. Getting to rooms on upper levels is a bit quirky and outdoor lounge area is a pain to get to unless you are on the second floor. This would not be a place I would book again.

Rooms were clean and perfect for a quick vacation. I had no issues except a spider and killed it. I truly liked this place. Regardless of all of the negative reviews that I read.

We enjoy coming and staying here ever year! The rooms are clean and just what we need to rest up before going out the next day. The maids stayed on top of fresh towels and anything else that was needed. We love hanging out on the balcony and watching the traffic while cozying up to the fireplace! The restaurant on premises had delicious food but seemed the wait time to be seated was longer than it should have been with open tables in view. The staff there was very friendly and courteous and the food was as if you were really in Germany (ok well close enough!) I'd love to give a 5 star review on the staff (which 90 percent of the staff was excellent!) But the gentleman who worked a night shift while we were there was not only rude to us, but to another couple who was staying as well. I was told that wasn't the first time a complaint about a gentleman had been made... aside from that, our stay was excellent! We will be back to stay!!

This was a nice place to stay. Price was reasonable, beds were very comfortable and clean. Bathroom toilet was low - a little to get up and down on. Not much counter space on bathroom sink but manageable. All in all a very nice stay for the price!

Great location and friendly staff! The only problem I had with our room is, it was right beside the vending area and was loud. Our dogs went crazy every time someone got a drink.

We stayed one night before we moved onto Wilderness at the Smokies for 2 nights. It was what I expected from one of the older hotels in the area. Staff was friendly, rooms were basic but clean. The only negatives were the door left a decent crack when closed and cold air came in so the heat ran about all night. Decent stay otherwise. Someone mentioned the beds being high, and they are a little high, but nothing crazy. It was a pleasant stay

I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. This place is very clean. The beds are really comfortable.

Great location. Right near the smoky mountains. A lot of noise from cars

Location was good. My first room could have been cleaner. The floor needs to be scrubbed

It was clean and the beds were comfy .and the price was great for the area .

Noisy location. I was woken up by a crowing rooster — literally, not figuratively. Thin walls and doors. Pushy staff, also.

Hotel was very clean , a little outdated but very clean. Front desk lady(Mary) was really nice

Hotel building was showing its age in places, but overall was a great place to stay.

had to wait hour and a half before they had an available room for our reservation. Our Orbitz confirmation stated check in was 3PM, but motel said checkin was 4PM and they did not have to find us a room before that time. The beds were comfortable but the carpet was filthy and the curtain was pulled away from the rod so had to duct tape it to hold in place. Probably will not stay at this facility again

Wild Bear Inn has terrible service. We (4 people) had 2 single rooms and stayed 3 nights. In the 1st room were 2 old chairs and table. In the 2nd was just 1 chair. We were promised to bring the 2nd chair and table on the next day (the check in was at 6 pm). Just on the last 3rd day (after 3 times reminding) the service brought the dirty chair and table). In the same room was also problem with replacing of towels.

nice place.hreat what what i wanted busy town and great view

It was a nice room. Just need to redo bathroom. Beds were comfortable.

We chose this motel due to its location across the road from a campground where friends and family were camping. It was modestly priced but in this case we got what we paid for. The bed was pretty comfortable but the room A/C could not maintain a consistent temp - we were either too warm or too cold. Bed covers were thrown off then pulled back on during the night. The room was in dire need of new carpet and paint. It had a micro fridge but no microwave.

Everything was good to go until about midnight. Power was completely out until around 10 that morning. Not sure why our room was without power but they fixed the issue 10 hrs later. Was a little disappointed with that. Never even bothered to ask if we needed anything during that time. Just basically rushed us out if there.
