Great place, wonderful staff. Enloyed winding down after a stressful time.

We made a last minute trip, found this place seen the ratings and read some reviews but this place needs more than a good cleaning. It needs to be updated from top to bottom. Unloaded our truck (should’ve looked at room first) took everything to room along with our 3 kids and turned right back around, wasn’t able to get our money back but it was bad enough I didn’t care. The hallways smelled horrible, room was disgusting. It’s a big No No No of us.

We were looking for something with an indoor water park for the kids (10, 4, and 1). Nothing huge like a Kalahari or similar, just something small. This place fit nicely. They have two large water slides, a couple pools, a hot tub, and a small play area with some small fountains. They appear to have a nice outdoor water park as well, but we were there over Christmas. It was just big enough to keep their attention yet small enough to allow us to let the older two run free, and somewhat unsupervised. Just shortly before arrival we had a small issue (though not a fault of the hotel, rather, Orbitz not communicating our "special request"). We had asked for a crib. The lady apologized and said they did not have a note saying we requested it and that they are out of them. We told her we would have to go buy a pack-n-play then. She apologized; however, about 15-20 minutes later she called back and said that she called one of their other locations and located a pack-n-play and someone would go get it and have it waiting on us when we got there. That was VERY much appreciated. Note to self... don't count on Orbitz to relay information properly... call ahead to verify the "special requests"!

My kids absolutely loved the water park. The resort was a great value!

We have stayed there several times. The room need some deep cleaning. We really love to stay here and enjoy the indoor water park.

This was our first stay at the Resort. Very disappointing! The 1 King bedroom studio with a pullout sofa bed. We had 4 people which with only 1 sofa did not allow for any comfortable seating except for three people on the sofa. The dining room chairs obviously were not comfortable for any period of time to relax in etc. The Sofa Bed had dirty sheets already on it from the previousi guest with hairs etc. on them. We call for new sheets within the first few hours there. Also no blanket for the sofa bed. We call twice and they said they had no covereage at the front desk so we had to go down to get them ourselves. We had to call maintenance again to come up the tv remote did not work. The maintenance guy however was great and always came within minutes and was very accomodating. The next day we had to call again because the fireplace would not come on with the timer so he got it to work but then would not cut off. Maintenance came back again and had to cut off manually at the logs. Problem with resort!

Had a great time in the Smokies and the Resort at Governors Crossing was Great!!!

Booked into a room right by the elevator and door leading to floor. Extremely loud!! I didn't get the room I booked. No sleeper coach!! Room was a down grade from what I paid! Won't go back!

Great value, indoor pool, washer & dryer in room, full kitchen, friendly staff. I would definitely recommend especially traveling with kids.

Governors resort is a top notch stay. Pool, kiddie pool, hot tub and water slides- both indoor and outdoor. Best place we ever stayed for being kid friendly. Clean, up to date facilities. All the staff we had contact with was friendly and helpfull. Conveniently located near outlet shopping, restaurants, shows, and only 3-4 minutes from Walmart . Would not hesitate to stay again.

Love this place. Second visit to stay here. We are always pleased with the friendliness of staff, clean rooms, and never over crowded at the pools. Thank you for a nice place to stay

We went during the winter, and the indoor water park was perfect for my 3 year old son. The rooms were very clean, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The pool area is fantastic for younger kids. However, the rooms are a bit dated and beds are very firm. A huge plain sign on the building says "Condos rented weekly" so that's a good clue about the room furnishings. Housekeeping only comes every couple of days to replenish towels and take trash. They do not make beds. I can live with that. However, there are no ice machines or useable vending machines anywhere onsite. The arcade featured about 4 working games (8 total, I think). If you get a really great deal and need to confine kiddos in a kid-friendly pool environment, this is a good option. If you have teenagers or want other amenities, this is not where you want to stay.

overall great value, no hassle, the best location, quite, wonderful staff, would highly recommend to all

Overall experience was good, housekeeping was slacking in a couple of areas. Would definitely stay again. Rooms and amenities were very nice. Beds are hard...

We were very disappointed in our stay here. The room was very outdated and the shower/tub was very dirty. The towels in the bathroom were very small and not soft at all. Our room was through a door that led to two rooms. We thought this would be a plus since it would mean that we'd be separated from the hall, but what it really meant was that we had extra noise from our neighbors from two doors closing every time someone went through and from people banking on the hallway door to get their attention. There also was not adequate parking available for everyone that was staying there either. So even though the staff was very pleasant, we would not choose to stay here again.

Great place for families to stay a lot of fun for the kids with indoor and out door pools . Rooms were big and kitchen were great to have

nice area, room was clean. Hotel is centrally located.

This is a family place. If vacationing without kids stay elsewhere.
