The resort had very friendly staff and the suite was just as expected. The clubhouse pool was great and kids had fun. The suite was roomy and nicely stocked with dishes if you had the whole suite. We had a great time and recommend staying here. We have a family with 4 young teens and 2 adults. Beautiful view of the mountains. Close to Food City and convenient to downtown.
Mountain Loft is looking good... Not only is the landscaping beautiful, but the villas and townhomes were recently updated and look great inside and out. We were in building 9 and the renovations looked fabulous! It is nice to see a sofa and 2 comfortable chairs in a 1 bedroom unit. The 1 bedroom deluxe is about 800 square feet and while large in footage, the furniture is large scale, including a large kitchen table, so it actually makes the unit feel smaller than it actually is. Plus the fireplace takes up a good chunk of the living room which also eats up some space. The brightly colored drapery makes the unit decor pop! The balcony table and chairs look terrific and sure beat the cheap plastic that was there prior to the renovation. We enjoyed several meals on the balcony while simultaneously soaking in a spectacular view of the mountains. On a side note, if your neighbors are a bit loud, after 10:00 p.m.starts quiet time, do not hesitate to contact the front desk to let them know of the problem as I did because if it is bothering you, it is most certainly bothering other individuals in surrounding units, as well. That is why they have security. I had a hard time believing the guests next to us were owners and the front desk confirmed they were brought in by the sales department. Note to Sales Department.. you need to raise your standards! We also were happy to see that Mountain Loft has bear locks on its dumpsters. Please remember to lock the dumpster when you are finished depositing your garbage and pick up your trash on property as garbage is "poison" to bears. A menace bear is a dead bear. We picked up garbage on the trails in an extra grocery bag so pack an extra grocery bag and be a terrific role model for your children and others when it comes to packing out what you bring in. We love the location of the resort to the Smoky Mountains National Park and you can catch the trolley to downtown Gatlinburg at the base of the resort on Highway 321. Do know that entering and exiting the resort property from Highway 321 is a bit tricky as there is a blind bend in the way and that can present a problem. Be cautious. From what I could tell, there are very few planned kid activities on resort property. Bluegreen has all but eliminated its activities' department at many resorts, but that didn't bother us as we were there to hike the Smoky Mountains. We appreciated the hot coffee in the club house each morning before our hikes and the local paper that was complimentary, as well. Be sure and stop by Sugarland Visitors' Center and pick up a "Sampler Packet". It is a great deal for folks who want to experience the National Park, but don't know where to begin. It costs about $5 and includes a Waterfall Hike map, Day Hikes map, Cade's Cove map, and more. Plus, the Rangers are there to offer advice on hikes, answer your questions about the park, and they offer FREE Ranger led activities appropriate for all ages from late spring through summer. In summary, despite the loud neighbors, we thought the unit was terrific, the property looked great, and the location was fantastic!
This resort is tucked away from the main traffic of Gatlinburg which makes it peaceful and quiet. I wasn't expecting much because it was relatively cheap and the room was spectacular. It was a little mini apartment with a kitchenette and shut off bedroom and all. The bathroom had a deep tub with jets in it. Underneath the sink was a lit mirror which I thought was awesome. Everything you need for cooking and eating utensils is included. I saw a few reviews saying anything but he first floor was good but I was on the first floor and I was still blown away.
We are owners and exchanged here to visit the area. We have a full apartment-sized condo, fill kitchen, full bath with jacuzzi and king size bed. A 10 x 10 balcony with two chairs and table. And a gas fireplace with ventilator. Beautiful views to the west. The remodel and decoration very well done. The two drawbacks are the phone doesn’t work and the ice machine for this building doesn’t work.
We will NEVER be back. Indoor pool is a joke and the outdoor are useless in march. No activities offered except checkers and crossword puzzles. Amy the front end manager is as helpful as a mosquito. She will happily telly you everything she can not do for you and smile as she says "no one can help you" the positives of the resort were overshadowed by the negative attitude of management Amy. Maybe is they get a new manager it would be better. The pool and activities would still be disappointing. #FIREAMY
This was our third stay in a Bluegreen resort. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Privacy was an issue. We were on our 25th anniversary and were concerned about the neighbors hearing everything that could have happened. The units have a single door into a small hall for the two rooms. There are vents above the doors that circulate every sound very clearly. Plus the entry door into the room just did not look sealed well at all. Everything else was great.
We loved this resort, the units were very clean and updated.very quite and views was great. It is a little out from the shops and restaurants but not a bad drive to downtown Gatlinburg, staff was great and very nice
We decided on a weekend getaway here and stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bath townhouse loft. The kitchen was very neat, clean and well stocked with all the items needed. The townhome also had two outdoor patios. The resort has two pools, games and beverages. It is located near a mall and many restaurants. I would highly recommend this resort for couples or families.
We usually stay here about once a year. We had the Deluxe room this time. Very large and accommodating. We were able to check in late with no issues. There was a few confusions with which room we actually booked, but we were able to get that straightened out rather easily. The only other complaint that I had was we were in 955, and our shower knob had a wobble which made it to where you either took a rather hot shower or a cold one there wasn't an in-between. This is the only issue that wasn't fixed after asking. We would always recommend staying here, very up to date and nice place to stay. Amazing views.
We stayed in the one bedroom standard villa. Equipped with a full kitchen with full size appliances. Galley type kitchen. Queen bed in small master. Bed was comfortable nice linens. Stacker washer and dryer. Our unit was on the first floor with no view. Shotgun layout for the floor plan. Living room area was small, nice furniture not so comfy, we ended up pulling out the sofa and making it into a bed to watch the football game. The pool area was nice indoor/outdoor heated pool. With inside and outside hot tub. Very thin walls, heard the tv from the next room. Grocery store very close by. Very convenient to downtown Gatlinburg.
