Enjoyed our weekend stay. Arrived Thursday checked out Sunday. Staff very accomidating with local attractions, recommendations dinner and nearby pharmacy and emergency services. Room spacious, met all of our needs. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Convenient to restraunts.
My wife and I stayed at the Mountain Loft Resort through a timeshare exchange. Our accommodations were ok but the resort did not offer a lot of amenities. Our biggest complaint was that the indoor poor, hot tub and sauna were closed during our visit and if I had know that ahead of time, I would have stayed elsewhere. They also offered a wristband that they said could get us discounts at local attractions, but none of the attractions we visited would accept it. Overall, we still had an enjoyable time but it could have been better.
We went to Mountain Loft last week. We made a special request to be placed by our friends that we were traveling with plus for a great view from our rooms of the mountains and they definitely delivered on that. Our rooms were clean and our view was beautiful. One of our outlets in the bathroom didn't work and I talked to the front desk and when we returned form our outing there was a note from the repair guy telling us that he had fixed it. This was our second time there and we will go back again.
We got into Gatlinburg late on Friday and go to the Clubhouse to check in, and get greeted by the ever so pleasant, nice and willing to help employees (obviously being sarcastic). We get our room keys and get to our room and get settled in. Just a short while later my wife finds a bug on the floor and kills it, no big deal ya know. We go to dinner and return from dinner and find the jacuzzi tub was not cleaned prior to us checking in, dirt and hair still in the bottom and on the sides of the tub. Ok, no problem we just won’t use it, it’s ok. Fast forward to the next day, my wife is showering and something catches my eye on the wall, you guessed it, a ROACH! After taking pictures of said ROACH, I captured it and took it to the clubhouse to have a discussion with the so nice, willing to help and ever so pleasant front desk employees, (sarcasm again). Robin gets the great conversation topic as Emily listens in. And to be nice and pleasant, I waited for any other guest to leave before I had this conversation, as no one needed to hear about the ROACHES! As we have show and tell with the live ROACHES in my container, there is not one apology or any empathy at all from either, Robin steps back into the “managers” office, I use quotations because is not a manager for leaving his desk clerks to have this conversation that he should have dealt with, in which he never left his chair, where he thought maybe we could not see or hear him telling Robin to “ just tell them we will have someone meet them in their room to spray! My wife being a chemist says I’m not staying in a room with roaches that you are spraying chemicals in, what is the chemical you use and what is in it, Robin then steps back into the “managers” office and tell all mighty on the throne that we are not doing that, He tells Robin That they use and alcohol spray and it won’t harm anyone. Still at this point there’s no apology or offer to even put us in another room or anything. After we decline the spraying of whatever Robin goes back to the “managers” office again for the 3rd or 4 time and doesn’t come back. We left and went to our room and packed our belongings and went back to the clubhouse and checked out. This is where Emily comes in to play, knowing the whole reason why we are checking out, not even once apologizes or anything and then tells us she cannot check us out until in the morning. I guess so no one knows the situation! And the last time we stayed here, we checked in at the clubhouse, get checked in and they told us that our reservation was wrong even though we had the printout of what our reservation was, went unloaded all of our belongings into our room to get a phone call saying we had to pack up and leave and go to another part of the resort, that our reservation was incorrect. I left a voicemail for the resort manager with no attempt to return my call. The most disheartening thing is that at no point did any of the 3 employees show any empathy for finding roaches in the The room or is it dirty tub, and showed no concern at all that we were upset to the point that we even checked out and left the property with no attempt to even try to make it right.
Mountain Loft has the best view of the mountains of any place we have stayed. Building 9 is our favorite, with 10 a close second. We prefer the deluxe suite, but the standard was very nice. The kitchen was efficiently arranged. I miss the bathroom counter space of the deluxe, but, over all, the standard was MUCH nicer than most any "hotel" room. Mountain Loft is conveniently located near the trolley line, grocery stores, and major roads. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
The 1 bedroom suite was great. Had all the amenities we needed. The pool and the hot tub were great. The room was very clean. Loved the spa tub in the rooom. Only problem we had was that the dryer did not work. I would stay again.
We went to stay at Mountain Loft during our spring break, and we had not stayed there in several years. It was updated and the view from our balcony was beautiful. It was close to downtown Gatlinburg, and there was a grocery store, subway and McDonald’s if you need a quick snack. It is also near a trolly stop. We will definitely go back!
Beautiful resort, breathtaking views, and quiet. Close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge activity and shopping area without the noise. Only a few miles from entrance to Great Smokey Mountain National Park. Grocery store, post office, and gas station next door with little to no traffic. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is well manicured and lodges are clean and modern. The one bedroom lodges include a kitchenette and laundry in room. This year (2018) was our fourth trip to Gatlinburg in three years and Mountain Loft has become a home away from home. We already look forward to returning in fall,.
Mountain Loft is located just a few miles from busy downtown Gatlinburg but an easy ride on the trolley to town. Our villa was very nice, well-equipped with kitchen items and everything else you could need. The view from our balcony was spectular. The staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. We can hardly wait to go back!
Facility was in good condition and staff very responsive. Not as mature as other timeshares we have been in same area . Has no internal shuttle or restaurant on property. Nice view of the surrounding mountains. Need to have personal vehicle as not on trolley route and too steep to comfortably walk out from. A bit pushy in request to attend demonstration but check in staff very nice and helpful. Convenient to downtown by car.
