The walls are paper thin. Stayed in a townhome & could hear the neighbors running up & down the stairs. Flushing toilets woke us up every night. Could hear the neighbors conversations through the adjoining doors while we were eating at the dining table & watching tv. Power outlets were loose; our electronics' plugs kept falling out of the sockets.
This resort is off the beaten path and the views of the mountain are awesome. The main desk is open 24 hours a day and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is pressure to attend a owners update but you can refuse this activity. Plenty of room for my entire family. The gas logs didn't work at the time of arrival but a maintence man came quickly and showed us how to turn those off and on. Fun time was had by all in Gatlinburg.
I took my daughter, her friend and my mom for a girls vacation. We had a great time. The resort is far away from the strip to afford us some peace and quiet but close enough to be super convenient. This was our 3rd visit and will definitely be back.
Remodeled. Great room and view. Love coming here. Only complaint...high pressure to do a timeshare visit. They call the week before you arrive, make you get your parking pass from their sales people. You have to be almost rude to get them to take “no” for an answer. Then, message on your phone when you get to the room and they keep calling if you don’t call back. But, this is probably ALL timeshare resorts. If it weren’t for that, I would give it a 5.
Stayed in a 2 bedroom townhome. Unit was clean and well stocked. Got in very late and the staff was still available to make check in a breeze. Also it's just minutes from the strip in Gatlinburg. Will stay again!
I love this place, the staff is super helpful especially the concierges. Make sure you talk to them, they really know their stuff. Nice, spacious, and clean rooms. The resort is in a great location, near everything, but just enough off the beaten path that you don't get stuck in traffic.
This was our second time staying at this resort, this time we were able to get a better room (a 1 bedroom deluxe) was perfect for myself, husband and mother. Check-In was unavailable early when we arrived from driving from Florida at 1pm and were advised it would not be available until 4pm that is there check in time. When checking in, they needed a credit card, which is standard, so I had no issues with this, they asked that I go to see another person at the right counter to complete my check-in and they would call me when the room was ready. I make my way over, and the lady there asked me how long I would be staying at the resort, if my "Husband" was with me and when would be a good time to view properties, etc. I said no thanks, I didn't want to do this. and she said "May I ask Why"? I stated I didn't want to view any properties, i'm there for my birthday, etc. and I already own a timeshare. She said okay, and handed me a paper to fill out. Thinking this is part of my check-in process, I started to fill out the paper, I looked it over, obviously, I wasn't going to just sign something with out reading it, It was so they could run a background check on my credit. I brought the paper back to her and said, I'm not filling it out, she said to me, you have to fill it out, and I recounted back to her, I'm not filling it out. And then she backed down and asked me what room I was in, I told her I had no idea what room I was in yet, because we weren't checked in yet. We then left I was really unhappy about that whole check-in experience, I've checked into many resorts using my timeshare via RCI and if I just go up to them and say we don't want to view properties, resorts are respectful and say okay, and leave it at that. That whole tatic of getting your background, etc would not fly with the laws we have here in Florida. (I can tell you that) so we made our way about town and decided to shop for some grocery items for the room. We were called that our room was ready thirty minutes or so prior to 4pm. We happily made our way back to the resort to check in and the line was very long, but I made eye contact with someone and said, they just called that our room was ready. She got my last name and got the keys to the room. Very quickly told me where my room was and that was it. It was a quick interaction b/c I literally was taken to the side in front of like two other couples that were waiting. Since the interaction was so fast, amenities were not gone over, etc. We made our way to the room and were pleasantly surprised on the how big it was. My Mother was able to enjoy a very comfortable pull out sofa (queen size) bed right in front of a fire place. My Husband and I were able to enjoy a King Size bed with all the resort like amenities. Our time there was plentiful from a Friday Check in - to a Friday Check Out. The room was very well done, everything was in working order, all the ammenities of a kitchen, stove, etc. were included. This room could have well served a family of four. Two adults and two young children. We needed to ask for towels, as the room was not set up properly when we checked in on the amount needed and bedding was not included for the sofa bed, we asked for those as well, but all our requests were met and followed up upon with a phone call. Concierge was not helpful when my Husband asked what was open on Thanksgiving, he was given numbers to call himself, which I thought was odd, since I thought that was the job of Concierge to call, make the reservations, etc for you, maybe that role is different at different places? We did find something that I called and made reservations for. The Noise level would be our only complaint, of kids running above making noise, elevators are scarce and you have to wait some time for them to get to you. When we called about the noise, the Security person really wasn't helpful, saying there is nothing they can do, it's the sliding glass doors is what is making the noise. (they really didn't check it out) But overall the stay was fabulous with the great views from our unit and just enough away from the hustle of the main parkway of Gatlinburg. I had checked on the trolly prior to our visit and was excited to learn that it stopped at our resort, but the trek to the bottom, and back up to our room would have been too much for us, so we didn't use it. If the resort would have actually talked to us about using the amenities of the resort, not sure if they had a golf cart taking you to the top and bottom, etc, we weren't aware of it, but we didn't inquire about it either. Overall our stay was great, my Mother had never been to Tennessee and it was a really nice Thanksgiving/Birthday break for all of us. We would reccomend this resort to anyone as a place to stay.
the room was very nice, clean, receptionist was friendly, only thing is when you getting parking pass or discounted tickets for shows the wait is so long. other than that its beautiful scenery & we saw live turkeys
We were switched here by blue green and enjoyed our stay. Didn’t have any issues here and we were able to purchase tickets as well. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable, we didn’t use any facilities there but they did have things to do
We've stayed here several times. Maintenance has improved but still could be better. Nice location just out of town near restaurants and a grocery store. The Roaring Forks Motor Trail and the Artisan Craft Loop at the Glades are nearby.
