Wonderful property!

We had a great time at this property. The accommodations were great and the amenities were plenty. Comfortable, clean, and large enough for our family of 5 (adults and teens). My only complaint was that the mattresses were very firm and I did not find them super comfortable but the rest of my family did not have a problem with them :)

Great Family Stay

The property was excellent with the best views we've had yet in the Smokies. The property was very clean and well taken care of with plenty of kitchen ware and towels. Chris was very helpful with quick communication. We would definitely visit the property again.

Easter Weekend

Our family of five and our dog loved our long weekend and celebrating Easter in your beautiful home, plenty of room for everyone! Our 3 young boys had a blast in the game room and enjoyed watching the gondola pass by. We watched the sunrise outside on the deck every morning! This home is clean, well maintained, and fully stocked. We also loved the proximity to downtown Gatlinburg and the national park entrance which made exploring the area easy. The property owners had great communication both leading up to and throughout our stay. Our boys are already asking if we can visit again :)

Great house...highly recommend

Amazing property! We had 3 couples in their 50's for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, game room, and the incredible views from the decks. You're overlooking Gatlinburg at night and it's beautiful. The only thing I would suggest is when driving in go through town and take Ski Mountain road up. It's much easier. Totally worth the windy roads to stay in such an outstanding rental. It was very clean, well stocked with towels, blankets, etc. and the kitchen supplies - pots, pans, cookware - was better than any other rental we've stayed in. The owners were extremely communicative without being bothersome. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay

My family of 6 with 4 kids in their 20s LOVED the chalet. It's location was perfect for hiking in the park and getting to town. The pool table and hot tub were also huge hits. The house was very welcoming for the holidays- it even had a beautifully decorated Christmas tree!

A wonderful place to stay

This is my THIRD time this year staying at this cabin. I seriously cannot say enough amazing things about this place and the owners Chris and Morgan. I have stayed at other cabins this year and this is by far the best place we’ve ever been to. The view alone is absolutely breathtaking, the amenities are wonderful, the hot tub and grill were so nice to have, and Chris and Morgan go above and beyond for their guests. I have so many heath problems that require special accomplishments and have prevented me from staying anywhere on vacation for years and they have provided everything needed to keep me safe and more. It snowed while we were there and the internet was running slower in the entire area so I texted them in the middle of the night to let them know and Morgan responded within 2-3 minutes to let me know she was in contact with the internet provider. She took care of the problem right away and we were able to enjoy the internet very shortly after again. The same day the power went out due to the snowstorm and again, they responded instantly to work on getting it fixed and reported and they had an update almost instantly and the power came back on within 30 minutes. It’s truly a combination of things that make this place so great but I will never forget the incredible memories we made here and will never plan to stay anywhere else. Morgan and Chris have it all. If you’re looking for a beautiful view with lots of space and extra accommodations look no further!!

The perfect getaway

Chris and Morgan are hands down the best chalet owners I’ve ever stayed with. My family and I recently stayed with them and I had such an incredible time I went back 5 days later with my boyfriend and our best friend! I have multiple disabilities and for years travel has been impossible. Not anymore!! Any and every accommodation I needed they made happen and then some. The view is spectacular, the chalet is fully stocked and the game room is incredible. I don’t ever want to stay anywhere else and we WILL be coming back here indefinitely. Thank you Chris and Morgan for giving me something money could never buy me.

An Unforgettable Experience!!

From the moment we booked our trip Chris and Morgan have been going above and beyond for me and my family. My daughter has multiple health conditions and has special needs so she hasn’t been able to go on vacation with us for so long. They worked so hard to ensure a safe place for her to stay. The view was absolutely breathtaking, the best we’ve ever seen and we’ve been to a LOT of chalets. We loved sitting together on the top deck as a family, grilling out and relaxing. The rooms were very clean and inviting and there was lots of storage for our belongings. The pool room downstairs was AMAZING and the hot tub was so relaxing! They truly exceeded all of our expectations and because of their understanding and the extra steps they took to prepare the chalet for us my daughter was finally able to safely enjoy a vacation again since her diagnoses with NO issues!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Papa Bear Chalets, we will be staying with you again!

Perfect Cabin above Gatlinburg

We had a great time at Papa Bear Chalet. This house was a perfect size for our group (5 adults and 2 kids). We especially enjoyed spending time on the massive decks, taking in the beautiful view of the Smokies above Gatlinburg. The location provided easy access into Gatlinburg and the national park. We saw lots of bears, and the access to the community pools was great for the hot summer days. If you're taking a trip to the Smokies, we would definitely recommend staying here!

Amazing views and awesome hosts!

We had an amazing time at Papa Bear Chalet! The chalet was beautiful and the property/views were incredible! We enjoyed spending time on the deck every morning and the chalet had everything we needed. The guide was thorough and easy to understand. Chris and Morgan were very communicative and made the stay so much better! We will absolutely be back in the future.

Amazing views

We were here with the kids and grandkids for Spring Break. This cabin is incredible, the views of downtown Gatlinburg and the mountains were breathtaking. The cabin was just as listed. Plenty of room. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Grandkids loved the pool table and the video games. And we all enjoyed the hot tub! Great communication with the owners. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your cabin! Would love to come back!

Perfect for our family

We picked this property for its location close to Ober Mountain skiing. It was perfect. The cabin was just as pictured. Easily fit our family. 2 adults and 5 kids under 13. They loved the games and hot tub. We ordered in most nights and were surprised they delivered up the mountain! Super cozy and just what we needed.

Comfortable, spacious home with gorgeous views

This is a wonderful property and would love to stay here again. Our hosts were very responsive and available for our every need. The drive up the mountain may intimidate some but just relax and follow the directions provided and you'll be solid. This chalet is very roomy and would comfortably handle a few families and has additional amenities to entertain...from the hot tub, to the arcade game, deck space, pool table, cornhole, etc. We were visited by a black bear family our first night. If you plan on staying in much of your visit, there are plenty of pots, pans utensils at your disposal. You have a gas grill on the balcony too should you want to bbq. It's a wonderful home and would love to return!

Papa Bear Chalet

This home and owner were first class. The home is big, clean and has amazing views. Went 2nd week of November, saw black bears each day, just walking around. The game room was so much fun, large hot tub and great kitchen/family room. Host was awesome, always in touch and giving information as we went along. Totally recommend if you are staying in Gatlinburg.

*Amazing*

This place was absolutely amazing. The cabin itself was wonderful - clean, spacious, beautiful. There were 7 of us and we had more than enough room. The view from the decks were stunning. We loved being able to see not only the tram from Ober go by but also seeing the city down below. One of the best cabins we’ve ever stayed in, and we’ve been coming to the mountains every year for almost 10 years now. Communication with the owners was perfect. We didn’t have any issues but I know we would have had no problems getting in touch if we did. They checked on us to make sure everything was good.

ANNIVERSARY GETAWAY

The cabin is incredible!!!!! The views are spectacular, you can see for miles. This cabin has everything you need plus things you didn't know that you needed. The kitchen is fully stocked, beds are very comfy, you will sleep like a baby after a day in the park or shopping downtown. The decor is rustic and beautiful you feel at home as soon as you open the door. Parking is level and easy. We seen bears everyday so keep your car doors locked. Communication was great with the Host!!! We will definitely stay again.

Great cabin

Great cabin with a beautiful view! Our extended family of 8, including our 4 year old granddaughter, really enjoyed our stay at Papa Bear. Plenty of space for us all to hang out and not be on top of each other, but also areas that we can come together and still have room to move. Would stay again.

Memorable experience w/ family

The property was as advertised , in the hills so be prepared to traverse carefully yet the roads are paved & the scenery is gorgeous. Property was extremely clean and cared for. The arcade was the only thing not operational at the time yet the kids brought their own ps5 so no biggie. The porch views were amazing and the owner Chris was as responsive of a property owner that I've experienced in rentals period. Perfect example was a broken grill brush when communicated a new one was delivered the next day and left at the doorstep so I can continue to grill which was a great feature to have. Property was well stocked & had the amenities above and beyond necessary for the 6 of us w/ plenty room to spare including access to 3 different community pools. Comfortably Id say max 9-10 ppl . I would definitely recommend & stay there again in future was a great experience.

1st time to Tennessee

This was my family’s 1st time visiting Tennessee and the mountains. We chose Gatlinburg because we had heard that there’s many things to do there, and we chose to stay in a cabin so that we all could be together. This cabin was beautiful! It was cozy and felt very much like being in our own home. The view from the decks and windows was breathtaking. There was plenty of room that we could spread out and be separate if we wanted privacy or we could all be together, if we wanted. This is also pet friendly and we had our dogs with us. Also, I did reach out to the owners a few times with questions, and they got back to me very quickly and easily. The house is about 5 minutes from the town. It was an easy ride back and forth, and there’s so much to see and do in Gatlinburg. It’s also a short ride to Pigeon Forge, which also has much to do there. We didn’t get to do everything on this trip, so we will have to plan to come back again. One week stay wasn’t long enough! I will definitely reach out to the owners again, when we plan to come back. I loved staying in their home!

Beautiful Mountain View!!

This beautiful house was perfect for our group of 8. Every evening, we enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck that overlooked the gorgeous mountains. We were all excited to spot lots of bears while driving to and from the house. We would definitely recommend and would love to return!
