The staff was welcoming, thoughtful and bilingual. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The all-inclusive buffet was plentiful and delicious and it changed daily. The pool is large and lovely, but it needed a cleaning, which happened the day we left. The tours were fun and we saw lots of wildlife. Highly recommend!

Very comfortable, excellent food and views. Don’t miss the beautiful Biblioteca (library) above the lobby. It’s a cool place to escape from heat and sun, hang out to read or play cards, and take in the really interesting history and photos of early Gamboa and canal construction. I also really appreciated the efforts the hotel makes to go green.

The Gamboa is in a wonderful location where you cannot help but spot caiman, sloths, monkeys and last, but not least, an incredibly diverse range of birds. Combine this with all you might need for friendly staff in their scenic bar and restaurants and you have something to treasure.
