I cannot say enough good things about this home. It was "perfect"! The cleanest VRBO I have ever stayed at. More than totally equipped. We stayed an extra day because it was so amazing, we didn't want to leave. I hope it is available next Christmas!

This was a 5 star VRBO all the way around. We loved the layout of the house including the open kitchen/living room, the front porch and screened back porch. We also really enjoyed all of the kitchen appliances/gadgets, the recreational equipment made available to us, and the bbq grill. The location was super convenient for getting to the beach or going out to eat or sightsee. The house and yard were also great for for our dog as she had plenty of space. The host was always quick to respond if we had any questions. We will definitely stay here again.

Our recent stay at the Blue Pelican was definitely “a stay above the rest”! The listing photos don’t do this property justice; it is even more adorable in person! Each room is lovingly furnished, with tons of thoughtful, decorative detail throughout.Most impressive is how this host has anticipated every possible need a guest might have. I’ve never seen a kitchen pantry in a rental be so well stocked, not to mention some of the other unexpected items we ran across: coloring books for kids, dog food bowls and a retractable leash, sleep/sound machines in both bedrooms for guests that might need some help getting to sleep, and bath robes in the primary bedroom closet. Even the paper products throughout the house were name brand and high quality. It’s a little thing, but one that’s very much appreciated.We found plenty to do around the island during our four-night stay, but our favorite thing may have been just relaxing out on the screened porch. Also took the bicycles out for a tour of the beautiful homes in the Silk Stocking District one afternoon. We can’t recommend this house or this host enough! Thanks for a great stay!

The Blue Pelican is by far one of the best vacation rentals we have ever experienced. The home is incredibly well appointed from a fully stocked kitchen to bicycles and beach gear in the garage. The screened-in back porch is also a treasure. When guests arrive, everything has been considered for an enjoyable stay. I cannot recommend this property enough.

This is one of the best equipped vrbos we've ever visited. The host thought of everything from kitchen needs to books and games. Decorated like a nice home not a motel room like many other sites. Highly recommend and will visit again

Let me say that we have stayed at a plethora of rental properties on the island and none of them have come close to the wonderful experience we had in this home. This place has it all! It is unbelievably well thought out. Everything you could ever need is here. They have beach chairs, umbrellas, ice chests, bikes and helmets! They even had umbrellas for rainy days (came in handy for us because it rained a few times) and a pack and play for a baby if you needed it. All the way down to food and water bowels for your dogs. The back and front yards are fenced in, perfect for your fur babies! The inside of the home is very clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped with every kitchen gadget you could ever need. I litterally did not need to bring half of the stuff I brought because they had it there. The A/C ran fantastically! The screened in back porch was amazing for the rainy days! I kept telling my husband that I couldn't believe how well thought out this place was. The house is positioned in the perfect location. All of our favorite places were a super short drive away. The beach was about a 15 minute walk away. I could go on and on about how fabulous this house was. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone! We will definitely be booking again! Did I mention how unbelievably well thought out this place was!!!

Enjoyed our stay

The house itself was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. I was concerned about the location. We could smell a young man smoking pot in the apartment in the ally behind us. The drive way is so steep that I would hit the front of my truck on the pavement when backing out. It was hard backing out with cars parked across the street from us. The walk in shower needs a handle to get in and out for us old people. We loved the house and it was very nice ! Thank you !

Fun Getaway

Love the Blue Pelican, my second time staying here and it was just as beautiful as the first time! Beautiful decorated, great amenities, very clean and a quiet neighborhood. My favorite feature is screened-in back porch, great to sit and read with a nice glass of wine! Will definitely stay again in the future.

Excellent House- Highly Recommend

LOVE this house. It was very comfortable and had any and everything you could ever need. It is beautifully decorated and has a very cozy feel to it. Bikes and helmets in the garage is a huge plus! Highly Recommend.

Great, quiet, clean house, very centrally located

We had a very relaxing time at the Blue Pelican house. The neighborhood was quiet, it was close to the beach and restaurants. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Great HVAC (temperature control). Kitchen was well stocked for cooking and baking. Would stay here again and highly recommend.

Galveston Visit

Stayed a week, and this was a very comfortable beautifully renovated cottage. Fully stocked with everything you might need and the screened in back porch was a lovely spot to drink morning coffee. The fenced front and back gardens were perfect for our two small dogs. The Galveston seawall was a short drive for our morning walk.

True home away from home

The house was charming and sparkling clean. It had lovely furnishings, and generous amenities. Everything you would need is provided from kitchen utensils, pots and pans to beach gear and bikes. We loved the 2 bed to 2 bath set up as well and the adorable screened porch. We will absolutely stay at The Blue Pelican again and highly recommend it to family and friends.

Just as described

Exactly as described. The owners really put thought into every little detail... even down to the labeling of the light switches and drawers. The front yard is adorable and beautifully manicured. The back screened in porch would be wonderful to use in the cooler months (too hot for us to use at this time of the year).All the beach gear was in good working order and saved us the hassle of having to bring our own. I would stay here again.
