Pleasantly surprised by the good condition of the property and amenities offered for a budget hotel. I would return here. Just 2 blocks to the beach and many places to eat within walking distance.

I have stayed at Super 8's before in different locations and have always been satisfied, but in Galveston, it is rundown. I guess after seeing the city, everything is rundown there. The outside property is unkempt, the entire place needs a coat of paint and the walls and ceilings are thin. We could hear the kids above us running back and forth at 3am. There was someone smoking...somewhere close-by. The curtains and bedskirts were all wrinkled...maybe new? for the exorbitant price we paid...wow...not worth it.
The bed was very uncomfortable, and there were only 2 very hard pillows on the king sized bed. The room was clean and the shower was nice. We were unaware that the lobby was closed and that breakfast was not available.

There were 3 bugs found during our stay. We think they were water bugs. Common in Galveston? Otherwise nice.
Staff was very friendly, no trouble checking in or out. Room was clean. Extra towels and wash rags in the bathroom made it nice so we didn’t have to go ask for extras. Also close enough to the beach we could walk to it.
The room has a very good size. It’s very clean. The housekeeping they have bad actitud,I say hello they don’t answer. By the way everything is fine.
