The staff was not helpful. Check in took over an hour where they did not have our reserved rooms. The walls had peeling and running paint and the rooms flooded after a rain storm. Our bedding was extremely dirty and when we asked for them to be changed they informed us they did not have a housekeeping service and they would not change them for us

Due to hurricane the hotel was not open . After several attempts to get a hold of the property through Hotels.com and through the property I received an email that My room was non refundable so therefore the property wouldn't refund any of my $ .

4th of July weekend

After booking this hotel, we read the reviews on this place. I know, a little backwards. We were worried after seeing the reviews. When it came in to check in time, the website says 4 PM for check in. Just go with that. We got there early and we were told different times that we could check in, but everytime we went in, it was something different. However, we were checked in by 4. Jennifer and Miguel were wonderful throughout that process. They were extremely polite and helpful, even through a chaotic time, with very impatient people. When we got to the room, we did inspect it, due to the reviews that we read, and we were pleased to say that everything looked up to par. No complaints. I only have two complaints. First, I don't like the fact that tenants have to pay $15 a day for parking and it's not even reserved. They also let general population park there too. So, if you ever leave for a night out, you don't know if you're coming back to an empty spot that you paid for. The second complaint that i had was the pool. We never got in the pool because it was green and cloudy. You could not see the bottom. Other than that, it was an overall good stay.

We read alot of bad reviews but it wasn't bad. Jennifer and Miguel was great . They are strict about check in at 3:50 no earlier .. you have to pay 15 for parking every day

The floors were sandy as iff not being swept well in the rooms we had a group of 3 rooms for our stay. The toilet clogged up in one room and the TV was NOT operational in another room and the 3rd room had water leaking in the tub all the time. We notified housekeeping about all issues, no maintenance was available to fix the toilet they gave us a plunger to do it ourselves and we could not get housekeeping for 3 days as apparently not clear to us you have to request the night before!!!!! Not Acceptable, You guys have some work to do!

Roach motel

It was dirty when we arrived and there were no towels. Shortly after falling asleep my daughter (22) awoke screaming because there was a giant roach crawling on her face. Then queue hurricane Beryl.. it was raining on the inside of the room. That's when we noticed all the tiny roaches. As in..Infestation. the power went out. It was all a nightmare.

The check in went smoothly and Jen at the front desk was friendly. The room was clean but ceiling fans and hair dryer needed to be dusted off. There were many roaches. The bathroom tub did not drain well. I called the front desk and she told me I had to wait for the plunger so I could plunge it. She never called back. Our towels weren’t replenished after the first night. We had to take the dirty ones to the front desk to get another set. Also had to pay 15$ each night for parking. Will not stay there again. We payed 600$ for two nights in a suite with multiple beds.

What can I say the front end both gentlemen were very professional and courteous and helpful but the hotel did not look nothing like the pictures in hotel.com wow very disappointed hotel.com I immediately asked for a refund this place looked like a very very run down hotel doors looked like they needed to replace the outside was dirty and they also charge a parking fee wow smh once again the young men awesome customer service but the building it self wow do not go base on the pictures people

Stay somewhere else, not clean.

The water in the bath tub/shower wouldn’t drain. Completely clogged with hair and grossness. The sink faucet was covered with tooth paste over spray from someone brushing their teeth, wasn’t clean at all. I would not recommend and it wasn’t cheap. Over $300 for the night.

I found this hotel as deceiving and misguiding by showing pictures that do not truly represent the actual condition. It’s a very poor, dirty, filthy hotel and not for human living. It smelled like skunk and urine and was kept in very poor condition. I cannot believe Wingate has such poor hotels. I left there without staying. One good thing about the hotel is the stuffs are good and probably know these issues and just agreed to refund the money.

I didn't like that I had to pay $15 for parking & I GOT to THE property about 1 : 30p from out of Town & I WAS TOLD THAT I would have to pay $35 FOR an early checked or wait until 4pm AT the regular checked TIME. It's bad enough that OUR stay is not a full 24 hours.4pm - 11am Other than that ; Everything else was pretty good !!

Booked one night for overnight for boarding a cruise ship. Hotel was disgusting. Looked like they simply remade bed and said it’s ready to go. The hotel also overbooked and almost refused to give us a room until I got loud with them. Homeless people camped everywhere, roaches everywhere. Room door would not fully lock - We ended up leaving around 12 am the one night we stayed. Will be disputing these charges.
