Everything was nice except the check out time I wish Che k out time would be at Noon

We have been staying here for 10 years! Love the location and the staff.. You won't be disappointed!!

The Good: The hotel was right on the beach and was convenient for beach walks as well as an ocean view from our room, great staff, in-room cooking, nice pool, good service. The Bad: There were no restaurants near this hotel or at the hotel. The hotel was outside the city limits and it cost $40 to travel to and from city center to eat out. It was another $40 trip to the cruise terminal. (And that was discount rate arranged by hotel staff)

Had much fun in d beach and d pool. I left my selfie stick in d room on check out and the staff called and emailed me about it - and i got it back. Very honest staff . I will definitely recommend this hotel ..

My family and I come here every year now. It's on the beach, not across the street from the beach, on the beach. It's a ways from town so it's not overcrowded, but the public access plus the patrons still provide enough business for the umbrella rental vendors to show up every day so you don't have to schlep your own shade down to the sand. The pool is fun and acts as a bit if a rest stop between the beach and the room every day. Town is a short drive away and becoming towny, finding the quick through streets, and the little hole in the wall restaurants is fun. You can live it up all over the fun distractions of Galveston or you can just be a home body and spend hours on the beach or in the pool every day. Get some groceries on your way in, set up your kitchen, and just hang out. A fun family rule born out of our first stay here 8 years ago says that we must be on a beach somewhere for 1 week every summer. We rotated a while with every other year touching back to this hotel on this beach. Now we just book our beach week here every year. There are prettier beaches, there are more exotic locations, there are places that sound more impressive to tell people you've been. There is not, however, any place that a beach bum can just be a beach bum with access to anything their family could decide they needed to do to fill their time any better than this.

My husband and I loved it here. The view of the gulf is amazing and the staff was really helpful on were to eat. Just to let you know there was no housekeeping at all and there is no restaurant on site.

Nice location but staff rude at checkout hounded to get out of room even after had late check out and then when realized daughter left collectible usa soccer ball by door and called for it they refused to call back and obvious cleaning crew decided to kept it. Daughter was in tears at Houston dash game when she did not have it for players to sign and when she found out they said they did not have it and never would call back she cried again. Also, bug issues not being addressed. Don't stay if you have kids or want friendly service but was good location

Always love this hotel! It is close to the Beach and so comfortable! The only thing I have to say is this hotel needs more mirrors so others can get dressed while someone is in bathroom.

This is a great place for a get away. Great rooms and right on the beach. Awesome!

We came in the off-season and had a really nice experience. Galveston Mardi-Gras is really fun. The hotel is clean, free of malodorous smells, and located right at the beach. It's nice in that it's away from the heavy development, and behind/next door is a state parks facility. Great value for the money.

This is a nice hotel but one must remember it is more of an extended stay than for a night or two. No bar, no restaraunt. I knew this and actually appreciated that. Elevator use is a challenge to wait for. Not enough of them and staff was using all the time.

Stayed at this location for 1 night only - will definitely be back again. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We were able to check in a few hours earlier than the posted check-in time. The room furnishings were comfortable and well maintained with a balcony overlooking the pool and out to the ocean. The only complaint is that the elevator is very slow.

We liked this location because it was on the beach side of Seawall Blvd. Unlike most hotels where guests have to cross the road of traffic, here, we walked right onto the beach. Having the kitchen was nice - we were able to eat a few meals in the room. Only negative was there is only one ice machine on the property, which was empty every time we tried it during our stay.

The description of this "club" did not make it clear that typical hotel services, such as maid service, trash pick-up, etc are NOT included in the price. This must be ordered separately and an additional fee is charged. Also the "Gulf View" was actually only a partial view which first over-looked a parking lot, with a water view in the far distance. Most disappointing was that the room type which was described as 2 queen beds. This was entirely false. Upon check-in the hotel staff told me this property has no rooms with 2 beds. Instead all rooms have 1 king bed and one sofa bed. I certainly do not want to pay hotel prices only to sleep on a sofa bed! Overall, the property was well-kept and in good condition, but it not at even close to the type of hotel room which I thought I was getting according to the hotel description.

We had a great stay! The resort was very quiet and the rooms were great!! We definitely will stay there again.

Hotel is excellent, all rooms have a ocean view, ours was a particle view. The accommodations were great, queen bedroom with a separate sitting and kitchenette. Very clean, upon arrival, we stayed a week so you need to know that there is no housekeeping during your stay. If you need anything just let the front Desk know and it is taken care of for you right away. They also have a washer and drier for you for your personal use so no need to over pack! (We shared ours with the room next door) Loved it, came home with all clean clothes! Hotel is located just outside the busy side of the seawall area so walks on the beach every night was very enjoyable no large groups of people! Yet you are close enough to find shopping, places to eat if you don't want to cook in your room. Every day we found things to do, shopping down in the historic district, from just driving from one end of Galveston along Seawall Blvd to the other. But we enjoyed just hanging at the pool or out on the beach most of all. As for the hotel staff, they have to be the best we have come across in a long time! We travel several times a year, a few get aways for just the two of us, as well as with our children and grandchildren. Want to know where to eat, what to see, need that special gift for someone back home they can tell you and advise where you should go! Already planning our spring family trip, so looking forward to showing the grandchildren Galveston, and the very friendly people of Texas! Thank you to the people of Texas for giving this New Englander a view of a friendlier side of mankind!! Can't wait to come back!

We had a Large & very nice suite overlooking Gulf. It is off the beaten path though, which is good & bad. It was quieter that the tourist areas but you had to drive a ways to get anything to eat.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom/2 bath room overlooking the beach. Our room was beautifully furnished and clean. The only issue we had with the room was a drain in the tub that was stopped up. We called the front desk to report it and someone came promptly to fix it. The resort is located on the beach which was convenient for our family. It is located a short drive away from the sea wall, which could be inconvenient if you want to be close to restaurants and shops. However, we enjoyed the quiet relaxing atmosphere. They also have a nice pool and hot tub that overlook the beach. I would definitely stay at this resort again and recommend it to friends.

This hotel is right on the beach! It even has a private walkway to direct beach access so no crossing that big busy street to get there! This was key as we travelled with a 4 month old! would highly recommend bringing food for breakfast/lunch as the rooms have kitchen, stove, refrigerator etc. Gorgeous view of the beach nonce you open up curtains! I would definitely stay here again.

The Holiday Inn Club Vacations Beach Resort was fantastic! Our family getaway was perfect. This resort had everything! The room had a full kitchen and washer/dryer. The view was spectacular from our balcony. The beach was private and we did not have to cross a busy road to get to it. We will be back!
