I liked the property as it was modern and clean. The staff was friendly and attentive.

The guy who checked us in was not friendly and i didn't feel like the reviews i had read prior to checking in. I was hoping to be check in what Ms.Dee. Oh but when the morning came and it was time to a board the cruise ship Me.Dee checked use out.I felt very welcomed and wanted to stay a just chat with such a beautiful and warm personality.I can say i had a wonderful time checking out of the Hobor House because of Ms.Dee we left smiling. Wonderful front desk person. Good location and really good food close by

Great location. Otherwise, hallways are dark and depressing. Smelled like dust or mold in hallways? Damp smell? No staff was around for breakfast. Rooms were clean though and everything was functional.

Interesting location, and a unique space. The room was lovely and roomy. I also had a nice view.

Very clean clise to everything... got there late so no problem with anything

I’ve stayed at this hotel frequently, was staying with my small boys alone, and had my room vandalized while we were enjoying the pool at the sister property. The head of security (Tyler) came to investigate that evening, inventoried items taken, and said management would be in contact with me. The hotel collected the items left behind by the thief and said they would check the door card reader. Since the hotel was full, they couldn’t move us to a different room. The following morning I spoke to the manager who had already been informed about what occurred. She was not apologetic, stated facilities would be by to check the door, then would be in touch. The worst part to me, I didn’t ask them to contact me, they stated repeatedly they were going to, then never did. I did call twice to follow-up; however, I’ve never been contacted. This is very disappointing, especially since we been frequent guests.

What a beautiful place, my family and I enjoyed our stay! I would disagree with all other previous post, saying negative reviews. Very Clean and Great hospitality. I would come again

The location of this property is amazing. Right on the harbor. It is walking distance to tons of restaurants, museums, and pubs.

Second stay here, and we will stay again when in Galveston. Location is great, staff is friendly, parking rate is reasonable, and easy in-and-out. No pool or amenities, but you can use the Galvez facilities if needed. Rooms are clean and modern. The only suggestion I can make is that coming out of the bathroom from one tile to the next can be slippery. I would suggest a rug or something for that transition, because it could cause others to slip (like I did because I wasn't paying attention).

Great Location. Breakfast was very limited (not many choices).

Upon arrival, we were informed that a shuttle to the Tremont House left at 15 minutes after every hour. A shuttle arrived at 6:28, causing us to be late for a 6:30 wedding. The return shuttle was also late to arrive. The hotel itself was pretty good.

Friendly and helpful staff. Made sure we were all set for dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Only suggestion for our room is to improve the lighting - there were many physical lights but the amount of light produced was very low for the size of the room. At least we couldn't find a way to produce more light other than opening the drapes, which when you're changing it's not ideal. Would stay there again. The location is great, with restaurants nearby, and Starbucks across the street.

Great location on the pier. I could watch the ships out my window. The bed was not that comfortable, and the wall were thin we could hear the people close to us.

Thumbs up: Nice facility, very large, clean rooms. Close to everything in the Strand/Harbor area. Wonderful harborside views, with lotsa pelicans and dolphin to keep you company. Not so thumbs up: The "free breakfast" is basically toast items, yogurt, and some fruit. The cable TV selection is minimal. Would I stay there again? Recommend to others? Yes, and yes.

Love this Hotel. It’s within walking distance to The Strand and The Cruise Terminal. The rooms are always clean and the beds are wonderful. Dee at the front desk was very welcoming, nice and very informative. Parking is $10.00 a day and you can leave your car while on your cruise. It is very safe. We have never had any problems with leaving our car while on a cruise:)
