Always a great stay at this hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and large rooms. Love the deck off the back of the hotel. Breakfast was good with a good variety. It is a short drive to downtown Galena, but get downtown early as parking is hard to find. My only issue with my stay is the bed is too soft for me.

I didn't end up making it to the hotel due to a major car breakdown. I purchased travel insurance and also tried to get the hotel to not charge me since I couldn't get there. They would not refund me, The travel insurance thru Expedia does not cover car breakdowns, and Expedia could not refund my money either. All in all, DO NOT purchase their travel insurance or count on them if you run into an issue.

Overall, very clean facilities. However, carpeting and furniture in the room were filthy., And uncomfortable.. The hot tub wasn’t working, issues with the fireplace, including not being able to shut it off.. Lastly, the security is weak, the side door never was locked The entire time.
