Ice around the building and no one salting. Rotten bananas and apples for breakfast. Bedding old thin and poor quality. Smelled of curry in the halls which I have an aversion to. It worked for a place to sleep but not more than 1 night.

Stay clear if possible.

Fire alarm went off no less than 10 times over the course of the stay. Early, late…woken up more times than I can count. They knew it was a broken sensor for several days and just kept bypassing the alarm without checking or providing fire watch which is in direct violation of building and occupancy codes. I know bc I watched them do it while demanding a refund. NO HOT TUB. And there never will be. It is full of concrete. So the listing lies. We left early. Might need to go back sadly they are the only game in town even with the dwindling quality. How sad. The sheer and “blanket” are thin and don’t insulate. The pillows are smashed and do nothing. Towels are fine. Finally agreed to a refund and tried to scam by charging for fewer days as soon as I left the counter.

Great stay in driving distance from Galena.

We stay here every year for the Galena Halloween Parade. Hotel looks great after the renovation a few years ago.

Basic, but good room

The room was basic, but welcoming. I had chosen this hotel because of the fitness center. Unfortunately, this was a disappointment. There was only a few cardio machines without free weights. I was also hoping for a hot tub in addition to a pool.
