Had to leave early due to bad snow storm however the place could use a renovation the bed especially was very warn out and broke down mattress staff was great even though they couldnt check us out early as they werent shown by their boss on how to check people out so the lady said she will have her boss check us out when he arrives.

This an older BW with an odd layout but it is surprisingly well run and comfortable. The room was clean and pretty spacious. Miriam at the front desk was friendly and very helpful in discussing dinner options. All in all a very nice stay for a good price.

The hotel needs repairs in a lot of spots. My room was extremely overpriced and it was a piece of junk that was outdated in the 80s very disappointed for what I paid.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic. Our room, a suite with an "extra bedroom" was spacious and comfortable. The location of the hotel is easy to get anywhere you want to visit in Galena, and literally a walk across the parking lot to Happy Joe's or Frank O'Dowds Pub

Room was very in need of repair some lights were not working ,back door to balcony was previously broken into and was not repaired properly,chain latch on hall entry door was broken. The room was not cleaned properly and just not maintained properly for what they are charging.

The staff was great but we had the jetted tub room which was nice but our neighbors had one too but when they kept turning on the water then it sounded like water pipes bursting and they kept running it from 9 pm until 3 in the morning and we got no sleep and I definitely will not recommend those rooms! I wish the hotel could have helped to make things more quiet but they wanted us to move but we were there first so just wasn’t an option and it was our Anniversary so just a bit upset but not sure what you can do to make it right? We checked in and the room smelled horrible. Tried to turn on the air conditioner to get some air moving and it did not help the room smelled like a damp unfinished dirt floor basement. We also walked the pool area and it appeared as if it hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. We notified the front desk we would not be staying checked out and went down the road and found a very clean well kept hotel and had an amazing stay at the different hotel. I would not recommend staying here it is clear they have quit caring about the upkeep of their property. While charging the same rates as the other hotel which was clean smelled great and looked like management cared.
