Hotel, pool, hot tub, room, and breakfast were all excellent.

It was a good experience will probably be back. hopefully soon.

We enjoyed the small town feel of the hotel! It was great to have such close access to our car during the cold snowy weather! Our room had its own door to a small patio which was also close to our car!

The location was excellent. Not in downtown Galena but on US-20 making it convenient for tourist or business travel.

Got an upgrade to a suite which was nice. The only thing that was negative was the quality of carpeting. There was quite a few stains on it. Also it appeared that a prior guest had cut toenails which were still on the carpet by the bed. The breakfast was varied each day and was well stocked by staff. Over all I would stay there again. This was the second time I have stayed there while visiting Galena.

First of all when I arrived to the front desk I was not greeted I was just asked for my last name. I work with customers too and never once have I not greeted them! I felt as though the girl up in the front desk was trying to hurry me up to get out of her face because her cell phone was ringing and she wanted to answer it and as soon as I took that key she sure did. The rooms were updated very nice clean fresh paint new bathrooms but the beds are still the same from last time. Very very uncomfortable! They felt like I was laying on springs. Then I didn't appreciate the puffs of smoke as I was walking in from my night out as the front desk worker was smoking right next to the entrance. I thought workers are suppose to stand 500 feet away from the building? I am not a smoker and I absolutely detest the smell of it! The next morning I went to turn in my keys and decided to grab some coffee before I headed out and the lady that was refilling everything in the breakfast area pretty much shoved out of the area I was trying to grab some coffee and there was only one couple eating never said excuse me or could have waited until I was done. there was no hurry to move me! I come to galena quite often and I think I'll be sticking to staying somewhere else next time!

The staff was not friendly at all and almost seemed like they were being put out when I called to request they replace the liner for the ice bucket and that a light bulb was burned out. When the woman came to the room with both the liner and the bulb, she didn't even speak to anyone. I called the front desk at 11 pm to request that they call the room above us to ask the guests there to stop running above us. Thankfully that was handled. I wonder why they would put a family of kids above other guests when the hotel obviously had available rooms since there were only a couple of cars in the lot?

We accidentally pumped into this hotel, glad we did! Passing through a very cute town and decided to stay the night.

Pros- room was clean and large, hotel was in a good location to main street. Cons- lots of garbage in the entrance, pool was dirty. Like most older hotels even though they have all converted to non smoking, theres still a Smokey smell. Overall our stay was fine..

This property is very well run. I've been here three times now and the maid service is impeccable. They also take pride in providing a very nice hot breakfast spread that changes daily.

Three ladies, wanting to share a room, found it difficult to find Galena accomodations to meet our needs, but then discovered Best Western's dble Queen w/sofa sleeper. Room was nice & clean, beds were fine, location was great, cost was acceptable & breakfast was average fare. But the sofa sleeper turned out to be extremely uncomfortable & deemed unsleepable. Our friend left us at 1 AM to get her own room! And after a restless night - what was left of it - in the morning requested a new mattress & pillows for her bed -mattress was lumpy & pillows smelled like smoke despite being non-smoking room. Staff at first seemed reluctant, but they did make the accomodations and her 2nd night was much better.

Everything was fine. My room supposed to be nonsmoking, but there was kind of smoky smell. The breakfast was very good!

Hotel was nice. Good size rooms and decent breakfast. Staff was pleasant. Spa was quiet and not too busy. Only complaint was pillows were too soft for my taste. If I'd brought my own it would have been better. In room microwave and frig were handy. Oh and coffee and snack mix out even in the evening.

Met friends and family to attend the WIne Lover's Weekend events. The Best Western met our needs beautifully. It is conveniently located and the staff was very helpful getting us around town and taking advantage of the local events.

Overall was great clean room was not bothered at all. Bed squeaked a lot but besides that would go back. Check in was quick.

This place is just a 1/2 mile from the "Strip" in Galena. It's a well-run place with high cleanliness standards and a great staff. My room was clean and the breakfast exceeded my expectations with many choices and real scrambled eggs. The pillows are lousy so I'm glad I brought my own.

The hotel was clean, staff was helpful and the rooms were very nice. Hot breakfast was a nice selection of items and variety. We enjoyed our stay.

Had a nice stay. The hotel was not walking distance from downtown especially in the cold of the winter but only minutes away. Nice breakfast. Walls a little thin or the guys in the next room really has a snoring problem. We would stay here again.

great little town to visit. Had a good time listening to the music and walking to all the quaint one of a kind shops

We were welcomed when we arrived by a friendly Desk person. We were able to change from a front room to a back room on the 3rd floor. The room was very clean and the cleaning staff were friendly. The view of the balcony room was of a wooded area,it was very quiet and we did enjoy that!Loved the swim thru pool! The food both mornings were very good, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, waffles, fruit, fresh juices, yogurt, omelets, sausage, potatoes, fresh rolls, ham, muffins, bagels and the coffee is always on!
