5pm, prime time for serving incoming customers, but door was locked, so I rang the bell and the desk guy had to come out of the back and find the door key. Couldn't find my reservation or get his check-in equipment working, so he filled out a form by hand. Gave me room 124. Door opened with difficulty, but we got in. No wifi password was given, so we tried to call the office - no answer. Planned to walk across the parking lot to the office to ring the bell again, but couldn't get out the door - lock wouldn't open. Called the front desk again (multiple times on room phone and cell phone), no answer. Finally called Motel 6 Corporate Customer Service - she called the office for me and got someone claiming there was no one in our room. Back and forth ensued, could not convince her that she was CALLING THE WRONG MOTEL 6! My wife got someone's attention through the window, and got her to get the office guy. He called over Larry, Moe and Curly to work on the door, but no luck. They finally gave up. After 90 minutes, I finally managed to ruin my good knife jimmying the latch until it opened. Got put in another room, and got a refund in cash. Left around 7:15 the next morning, no coffee in the office. Save your money and sanity - you'll do better sleeping on the side of the road.

My husband, a disabled Viet Nam vet, stayed here one night last week. He is one a special diet and carries his own food. The refrigerator was unplugged and the motel had no ice so he had to leave to get some. The TV channels were blocked and he called the front desk 4 times, letting the phone ring 10 times each time, but then went to the office and was told there had been no phone calls. Motel staff could not unblock the channels.No Kleenex in tissue dispenser. None available in room. Toilet paper dispenser was inoperative so just a roll sitting out. He was supposed to be in non-smoking room but the room had a stale odor of tobacco and there was an ash-tray in the room. I BELIEVE HE SHOULD GET A REFUND. I rarely write a negative review but I think in this case it is appropriate.

Nothing but good to say about this place. Friendly staff, easy check in and out, clean rooms. Under new management. Renovations currently being done by not distracting to our room itself. 0 Complaints

Be warned! This old motel, formerly a Budget Inn, recently became a Motel 6. A local policeman who was called to mediate my dispute with the management told me they kept changing their brand because they kept failing inspections. My main beef is management seems determined to NOT to honor online reservation prices. If you book online, walk into the office with your reservation visible on your device. I booked online for the Senior Rate of $51. Since I have difficulty walking, my travel companion went into the office to check in. He was asked to pay $62. When he questioned this, he was offered "the lowest possible rate of $52,"-- more than the online price I had booked. We decided to stay an extra night--a Sunday night--hardly a full motel night. The woman manager told us we would have to pay the "regular rate" of $59, because we had received a "special deal" the night before. I proceeded to book online for $51 for the upcoming night. The female manager (whose husband I believe I met on an earlier trip) refused to let me talk to the owner. She told me if I wanted the $51 rate for the room, I would have to vacate the premises between 11 am and 3 pm. I told her I had never encountered such a policy in 40 years of experience at Motel 6. I particularly wanted to spend a quiet day because my dog was injured and my traveling companion had a sinus infection. I suggested, "Call the police." She said, "I don't want you here. I will not give you a refund for the $59 you have prepaid." The policeman came and told the manager that her actions "made no sense." My traveling companion stated his preference to leave, and she claims that she gave me a refund although it has not yet appeared on my account. Be warned.

I have to say Ibwas blown away by the beauty of the rooms.They are absolutely beautiful.The staff herevis very helpful.It is always very quite.The beds are like sleeping on a cloud.So far it's been a wonderful business trip.

I needed a cheap place to stay near the Noccalula Falls Park and Campground for the Barbarian Challenge. I went to one the .com sites to find a hotel and found the Relax Inn in Attalla. The reviews weren’t great but the price was right so I decided to give them a try. I had low expectations of the hotel and they didn’t disappoint me. Everything was old and run down, the sheets on the bed were stained but clean and I found some ants on the carpet. I have to say that the A/C worked well and the bathroom was clean enough for me. Hay – I got what I paid for, a cheap place to sleep - So I am satisfied with the outcome.

I want to highly recommend this motel for several reasons. I pulled off the highway, ill and dog tired late at night pulling a good sized trailer and here was this nice big parking lot! Then I encountered the desk clerk who was as pleasant and helpful as you could ever hope for! Gave me a ground floor room that was spotless. Priced right too! Next AM my call was not only right on time but the kind desk man checked on me a bit later to be sure I was alright. I think these folks might be owner/mgrs and if so I sure do wish them all the best since I can't recall the last time I was treated this well. Thank you again from an appreciative guest!

This is such a disgusting environment, old and fresh stains all over the room, someone else's hair on our pillow, horrible yellow stains hidden by pillow cases, there were black spots behind the bed that STRONGLY resembled mold. Cigarette burns in the bathroom and on the sheets, the lock was broken, what looked to be food splattered on the wall, and after all that they still wanted us to pay for the whole day, even though we checked out after 3 hours. After seeing those mold-like spots we couldn't bare to stay in the room and the workers didn't care at all. I find it funny how we had to pay for the whole day because they "needed to re clean the room" WHEN THE ROOM WAS NEVER CLEAN IN THE FIRST PLACE.

we payed to stay 1 month for $620. due to crime, prostitution, and drug dealing we asked to leave 3 weeks in advance. so we only stayed 1 week. aj- the owner owed us over $350. he told us he would change our rate to the daily price, which was higher even though we were charged for 1 month @ $620. aj only refunded us $44 for one week. he is considered a theift and bad business man. cock roaches bad here as well.

I was there for one night. I did not have any problems and the wireless internet did not disconnect me a single time, which is unusual for most hotels I have stayed at recently. I did not get to take advantage of the amenities or see what was offered in the contential breakfast, but my stay was fine and I would stay there again.
