This is a decent place to stay. As a Marriott Gold member we made our room reservation hours before be arrived. We made thje reservation through the Marriott Owners Help line. When we got to the hotel around 9 pm the desk clerk was on another computer away from the front desk. The person who took our phone reservation added extra pillows, and bookedva lower floor king. When we finally checked in, the clerk said they had linited rooms and did not notice the extra pillow on the request. We ended up in a hadicap room on the 2nd floor which would have been fine if it had more than one wash cloth and 2 towels for my wife and I. Te toilet valve was (and still does) continue to run and we will mention it on check out. Also NO warm blanket anywhere in the room. It was cold and the thin bedspread did not do it for us. I guess I could have gotten my clothes back on and gone back to the lobby and gotten all my supplies for the evening, but we were tired from driving all day...and just did not want to deal with it. On the other hand, the Breakfast Buffett was quite another story! Tara the breakfast manager does a GREAT job! A really nice selection including an actual traditional Japanese Breakfast with all the Japanese condiments, Eggs and other food was perfect and the selection was considerbly larger than the other hotel chains offing free breakfast with their rooms. For this reason alone I would come back, The only thing Id do different is confirm or get at check-in a blanket, extra pillow and make sure it is not a handicap room that has counter pace in the bathroom to shave. The other odd thing we noticec was the weight of the room door. We did not see how a person in a wheel chair could get it open easily? That thing was HEAVY and spring loaded. I assume it was for fire safety? Overall this is a good place to stay. If they keeo Tara in charge of the food service area they will be doing themselves and the customers a favor.

Seems to be a rather new hotel. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable. It was so quiet. The breakfast went unitl 9:30 (on a weekday) and was very clean, fresh, and very well stocked right up to the very end with no big rush to take it all down A well lit parking lot with plenty of parking. From our arrival with the pleasant young lady at the front desk to the lady overseeing and caring for the breakfast bar to the housekeeoping personnel everyone was extraordinarily friendly and kind. Many great restaurants nearby whatever you are hungry for. Extremely safe environment for you and for your vehicle. We are very glad we decided to stop here last night.

We like Marriott properties in general, so when we were offered a choice among the 3 hotels that share the street we selected this one. We were not disappointed. We were given a room at the end of the building, next to the stairs (my preference) and as far away from the road as possible. The room was spotlessly clean, and included a small microwave as well as a dorm-sized 'fridge. Most surfaces are black marble. The water pressure is good and the hot water is HOT. Wifi is free and strong. The TV is large and there are lots of channels from which to choose. Gadsden probably isn't a popular tourist destination. We were there for a wedding in nearby Attalla. It's only a 2-hour drive from our home so we'll not likely stay there again, but if what you're looking for is a clean, quiet room in east central AL I recommend this one. The free hot breakfast includes hard-boiled and scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon, cook-'em-yourself pancakes and mini-waffles, breads, English muffins, and bagels for toasting. There are also cereals and fresh fruits, several types of juices, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. There's even steamed rice with fried seaweed and spices for anyone who likes an Asian breakfast. There's a Ruby Tuesday within a thousand steps of the front door and several fast-food places and a Cracker Barrel are also within walking distance. My only complaint is that the mattress in our room has seen better days. It was soft and has little life left. I'm used to Marriott's nicer bedding, frankly. Tip: ask for an odd-numbered room; that will keep you from facing the highway. While the highway is a field away there's not much of a tree line to screen out the road noise or headlights.

I travle almost every week and I stay at Marriott branded properties to the point that I am a Platinum Member (over 75 nights a year) within their reward program. I booked a room at this hotel and 10 days before my reservation my plans changed and I called to cancel my reservation. They insisted I pay for the nights stay. I contacted the hotel directly and left messages for the management. I never received a call from anyone. They waited until after the weekend to email me a condolence message stating they would not refund me for the reservation. It is up to you if you want to patronize this hotel but with all the choices available in the area, I would not shop here. They lack basic customer service expertise and if they are willing to treat a loyal reward member (Platinum) with this lack of respect, imagain their willingness to treat you in a similar manner. Avoid the hassle and book elsewhere.

Arrived at 1:30 AM on Sunday. Desk clerk was very friendly. Had our room keys ready in an envelope for the fastest check in I have ever had. Nice treat as the kids were very sleepy. Asked if we needed anything, just let him know. Rooms were very clean. Standard but good free breakfast. Every employee I encountered was very friendly. I happened to leave an item in the room after check out. I called and they mailed it to me.

We were directed to this hotel when our usual choice had no vacancy. At 11:30 at night, you take what you can. The hotel and room were beautiful. For some unknown reason, the strobe on our smoke alarm started lighting up at 1:30 in the morning. Just little pulses of light every so often for the rest of the night. No alarms in hotel, just this light. Our room was across from the ice machine. It was running loudly. Comfortable bed, but not much sleep.

Great customer service, easy access to the freeway and restaurants. I stopped off here for the night on recent trip back to Eastern Tennessee. The hotel was clean and quiet, the staff were friendly and made sure that everything was OK with my room and stay.

Great customer service! Matt at the front desk went above and beyond out of his way to help us out! We would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel! Thanks again Matt! Also the hotel was very clean and the food was great!

We stopped in on our way to Pigeon Forge late one evening. This is what we found: Very comfortable bed (I am very picky about my bed), soft pillows, nice and quiet, great breakfast options, excellent rates. You won't be disappointed!

Stayed here June 28th through July 2, 2017. Check in staff was great except for having my name misspelled on the reservation and saying I didn't have a reservation there. They did a great job of finding the error and getting me chckd in. I was very disappointed that the pool was out of service the entire time of my stay. My room was right above the pool and I saw no one working to correct the pool issue. I prefer Marriott properties but I would have stayed somewhere else had i known the pool was out of service.
