Best Western Le Val Majour

Wonderful Get-Away Location

This hotel is more than we expected in a Best Western. Located in the F. National Forest it's within driving distance to fishing, horses, kayaking and Avignon, without the bustle of the city. The owner and staff are beyond reproach. Perfectly French and welcoming. We found this place by accident after a scary 10hr nights stay in a horrid bed-breakfast stay in Marseille. We had initially meant to spend 4 days in Marseilles then ran for our lives after arriving there. We booked a hotel out of there as soon as we arrived. We randomly selected anything better and ended up in this surprisingly wonderful location.

Best Western Marseille Aeroport

Great place to stay when you have early AM flight

Stayed one night. Easy to return rental car. at airport and walk 5 minutes back to hotel. Gas station nearby to fill up rental car. Had dinner there that was fine and reasonably priced. Breakfast buffet was poor--just not a good job done in presenting attraction selection of food. Room was fine with good bed and good wifi.

Constantin

Traditional hotel, great owners breakfast.

This is a traditional hotel... not internationalized best western type place. This was exactly what we were looking for during our trip. When I go to France, honestly I prefer to feel like a local. This is a wonderful sort of historic property. Everyone else staying there appeared to be French families and couples. I think it was one of the best hotels we stayed in ... the owners made it so. Very approachable and welcoming. The room had shower and toilet - toilet was in a separate room as the shower appears to have been added - but it was probably the nicest shower we had on our trip. Free parking was available, and hotel is just across the street from old town. Which was deserted in parts. That gave a sort of different feel from other old towns - this has many residences until you get to the arena. The businesses are on the main street that the hotel is on ... so old town across the street - turn right from the hotel you get to parks and restaurants and modern streets. We loved Arles and took a quick side trip to Nimes one day. This was a good base. Lastly - breakfast was a bargain... I think 10 euros. They were very accommodating, plenty of coffee and hot chocolate for my son. Meat, cheese, yogurt, many different types of bread and likely fresh squeezed juice. Well it tasted that way (except my son pounded it saying "this is the best juice ever") Home made preserves of Fig, banana/lemon, and berry were AWESOME and special.

Pullman Marseille Provence Aéroport

Nice Hotel by the Marseille-Provence Airport

We had a pleasant night at the hotel, including dinner at the restaurant, and a ride to the airport in the morning. We have stayed there several times.
