To Iberia: I am confused by the on-line check-in when it comes to luggage. On 28 October my wife and I took a flight from Marseille to Madrid and it said I had 0 carry on luggage. This was true since we had 2 bags that needed to be checked in, not carry on the plane. When we got to the airport and checked in they made us pay and fined us for having checked bags with us. Your site is very unclear about what to do with luggage. It was not just us either, we heard several other groups of people having the same problem. We are leaving this morning for Buenos Aires from Madrid. I checked in and again, it is quite confusing. It said on the on-line check-in that we have carry on luggage and cannot change this. Maybe you are translating this poorly and causing confusion. In English we have 3 types of items: checked luggage (this goes into the hold on the plane), carry on (this goes into the overhead compartment), and a personal item (fits under the seat). Your use in English of carry-on I believe is wrong and you really mean checked luggage. I feel your charging us extra due to the confusion was unfair. I believe you should reimburse us this money.
