La Terrazza Durazzesca is a splendid and welcoming dwelling housed in a 15th century tower, built on the boundary wall with the Spiazzo delle Triadi which can be accessed from the Durazzesco Arch, in Catalan Gothic style. La Porta, from which the name of the house draws its inspiration. it originates from the Albanian city of Durazzo, on which the Angiò Family exercised its lordship. The property is on three levels: on the first floor below the bedroom a bedroom with en-suite bathroom; on the ground floor a second bedroom with a relaxing terrace, ideal for those looking for a quiet corner to read a good book and sip a glass of wine. always on the second floor a full bathroom; On the first floor there is a living room with an open kitchen and a small balcony overlooking the characteristic Via Sant'Agostino and Mount Etna on the horizon. From the living room a staircase leads to a terrace with a spectacular view of the Gulf of Taormina and the roofs of the village

Lage toll - sonst aber sehr viel Verbesserungsbedarf

Im toll gelegenen und eigentlich hübschen Ferienhaus hat sich viel Renovierungsstau gebildet. Überall findet man kaputte Sachen (Tische, Stühle, Sessel, elektrische Geräte), die eigentlich schon längst auf den Sperrmüll gehörten, was aber offenbar niemand macht. So funktioniert das Sofa oben in der Küche nicht zum drauf sitzen, der Belag einer der Kunstledersessel löst sich komplett auf, so dass man gesprenkelt ist, wenn man auftsteht. Die Dachterassenmarkise schliesst sich nur zu 3/4. Die angegebene Waschmaschine und Bügelbrett sind gar nicht vorhanden. Im Waschbecken auf der mittleren Etage gibt es kein warmes Wasser, der Tisch im Keller, war offenbar schon defekt und ist dann zusammengekracht, als wir eine Reisetasche darauf stellten. Die untere Etage ist sehr feucht und muffig, vor allem wenn es regnet - in diesem Fall muss man viel mit der Klimanlage arbeiten, um es da unten zu entfeuchten. Und was wir erst bei der Abreise bemerkt haben, aber uns die ganze Zeit über die Niesattacken meines Mannes gewunder haben: der Korbstuhl in der unteren Etage, über den wir unsere Kleidung gelegt hatten, war total verschimmelt!!! Das Bett in der mittleren Etage war sehr bequem und es herrscht in der Umgebung wirklich himmlische Ruhe, so dass man gut schlafen konnte. Aber Achtung: fiese Stechmücken -wir haben uns hinter Fliegengitter verbarrikadiert. Wir würden dort nicht nochmal wohnen wollen.
