We stay at Mercure Fortaleza for two nights. Nice room and great location near the beach. WiFi should be ameliorated in room. Staff very helpful and friendly. Special menton for Adson and Rainer very professional.
The impression one has is that the hotel needs an urgent makeover: room was poorly painted, smelling of old and bad bathrooms. This hotel is in disrepair of others of the same MERCURE brand. It really does not make up for the cost x the benefit.
Very good hotel: location (including Saint Philomene Chruch, very close), near beach, easy access to Futuro Beach, close to fabulous Vignoli Pizza Restaurant and kindly team, whre the leader is Daniel. Its has swiming pool. The taxi service at the hotel door has Mr. Manoel and Mr. John every time happy showing "cearence" jokes.
This hotel has a room very clean, with a lot of space and well illuminated. It is located at a very nice place, near the beach. I had a taste breakfast, compounded by a regional food and season fruits.
The hotel had to be revovated as it is quiet old...furniture and public facilities . Restaurant : question : why on the 24th of december - christmas day - someone has to clean the ugly and dirty atrium in the restaurant while we are having our breakfast... and why the very next day christmas still ugly waste was lying behind the locked glas door...so we had to see that for another 2 days until someone cleaned it. You had 362 days for that..... We are the paying clients - And by the way - when i checked out i saw that bill for a smal chocolate bar kitkat - euro 4,50 or 15 reais .... the breakfast is reais 25,-- ! a whole breakfast! !!! I complained about that .... Sorry mercure - I feel that is respectless to your clients Furthermore very weak wifi in the whole apartment no 901....my complain was answered- I should stay in the living room for using wifi as you knew that in the sleeping room is no access to wifi....NO ! you should improve wifi for your clients and not we have to walk around in the apartment to find the best access to wifi... Will not come back..... PS check in staff was good and professinal
One block from the beach. The suite seams to be a little apartment with a bathroom, kitchen, living room, balcony and room. Is a good option if you need more space or if you plan to stay for a long time. The breakfast is ok, but should be better. Employees and service are nice
Simply excellent. Whenever I need to have good service, comfort, quality of stay, for the purpose of the hotel is complete. Always in my travels whether on business or the Mercure tour is first choice in the area. Congratulations.
The rooms look like small apartments so you feel you're at home. We felt the comfort of our home with the service of a hotel: just perfect!! At the first night, we ended up ordering pizza from a local pizzaria (which by the way was one staff's great recommendation) and we had all the utensils needed to eat like if we were at home. The room and the floor were always clean, organized and well decorated. And the whole staff the friendliest people I've ever seen. Definitely recommend staying there because we will stay there again next time!!
Was in the hotel for one single night. Arrived at the hotel late at night, did my checkin and went straight to the room. I was in a room in one of the the upper floors, the ones that end with (A) and (B). It felt like the hotel was shoving me in a room that was built to make that few remaining metters available in each room useful. But DON'T worry!! Although disposition of the room is a bit strange, it is very clean, tidy and the bed and sheets feels new (and delicious). The view is nice and the next door building is not too close. Air conditioning works great and if you need to work, the room has plenty of space for you to work without hassle. Shower has great pressure and temperature is ok. The room also has a very nice panel at the head of the bed. I took a picture of it. The only thing that I felt that needed improvement in the room was the tv. Size is ok, but the image is not very sharp. I was working so I turned it on for the sound, but when something got my attention on the tv and I was looking at it, it bothered me a little bit. Breakfast is decent. Has several options and they also provide you with tapioca or omelet made just for you. It is also very close to the beach. I was able to go for a jog at the beach early in the morning when the sun was not so bright. Recommend and will consider this hotel again when returning to Fortaleza next time.
We ended up at the Mercure after a terrible night at the Meridional in the centro. We arrived around noon and, although check in was somewhat slow, Daniel was super friendly and spoke excellent English, we were given a quiet corner room on the 11th floor. Even the standard rooms are spacious, clean, well appointed and in functioning order. Beds are clean and very comfortable. The breakfast for an additional R$29, is an acceptable deal. Although the hotel is very box and clean, it's hard to determine its function. The pool is small and someone not taken care of, there are only 3 plastic lounge chairs (2 of them are broken), and there is no space. The hotel might be good for business but it's a beach resort where business is conducted elsewhere. Not a first choice for a non-Brazilian tourist. Try the wonderful pizzeria Vignoli next door for dinner.
