The room smelled. The age old air freshener was a sickly sweet smell that left me nauseated. The underlying smell of smoke still there. The bedding was thin, sparse and mattress old and insubstantial. The bath tub had @ 50 yrs worth of old bath mat stains and ...whatever else. The carpet. The carpet was old, worn, ripped, hideous and smelly. I would not walk on it barefoot. The walls were stained and thin - we could hear our neighbors TV. The "ice machine" produced snow not cubes. The in-room fridge ran all night long. I could go on. Suffice to say ..this was the worst hotel xperience I've ever had and will not ever make a Rez with Quality Inn. An oxymoron if there ever was one.
