Beautiful and picturesque nestled in mountains in a historic area worth the visit

This is a 3-bedroom B&B. The manager lives 15 miles away, but is there for morning coffee (6:30) and breakfast (8:00). We arrived there on Sunday, and there are only a couple of restaurants in town, mostly closed that evening. We bought sandwiches at the market.

We were made to feel right at home. The setting was beautiful and the breakfasts delicious.

The toilet clogged up the first time I tried to use it and had to call the owners to repair it. No breakfast. There were 8 guests the night I stayed, and when we tried to have breakfast in the morning, there was nothing left. Very small room. Very uncomfortable bed. No privacy. The room where we stayed did not have privacy. We could hear and see the lights on the room next door. And we could hear the people who stayed in the room above us. My swimming suit disappeared. My husband's bracelet disappeared. I do not recommend this hotel.

Clean and comfortable hotel with a clear home vibe with a caretaker who is very helpful. Room was a bit small but it was very comfortable with a very nice private bath. We met the owner who was helpful with local information. The room was ready for us though we arrived 3 hours before check in time. Very nice B&B experience overall.

We had stayed at this B&B before and had been very pleased so we looked forward to returning. This time we were given a room with several steps and a shared bathroom. The other room was empty, so there was no real issue here. The room was too warm with the door shut. We were given one bath towel for two people and no soap. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The experience was not as good as the first time, but we would return because we still enjoyed ourselves.

Thank you for staying with us at the Davis Mountains Inn. Just to clarify, the Davis Mountains Inn has 7 bedrooms. The great design of the bed and breakfast allows for a private entrance to several of the rooms, thus they are not readily visible to all guest. Thank you.
