We're headed back to Lovers Key, in Mid-July! It's been awhile since our last stay and We're looking forward to returning. On our last visit, We had another extraordinary and memorable time... The views from the "4 stack" are amazing! We stayed in #1204, and enjoyed every moment of our time in the room, watching the manatees and rays swim by, as well as the porpoises swimming, playing and hunting together throughtout the day. The room was immaculate. April, at the front desk (and, in the restaurant!) was as professional, efficient, warm, and considerate as ever! She's such a dedicated wonderful young woman, and an immeasurable asset to the hotel (and restaurant)! Everything We ordered at Flippers was terrific. Watching the porpoises, from the restaurant, is always a uniqiue experience for Us. The room service, for breakfast, is such a treat, We both love the lobster benedict. The pancakes and potatos are excellent, as well. This time, We'll be in room #804. Julie was very helpful making our reservation and assured us that #804 was every bit as well-appointed as #1204. Because we recently moved to the beach, we've curtailed our beachfront vacations. But, Lovers Key has so much more to offer than just a quality beachfront suite, and We're both remembering our previous stays here and happily anticipating our next. Matthew F. & Dayna R.
This facility continues to be updated and is always pristine. We have been coming here for at least 5 years and will continue to return. The only downside for this visit was another family was disruptive to the pool area (both during hours and off hours) and this unfortunately made for an awkward situation for my family and others at the pool. Suggestion might be is a reminder of all "house" rules when giving out keys at the start of the visit.
Booked a small condo with awesome view. Very nice place for holiday. Close to beautiful beaches, restaurants, nature, shopping, fishing etc etc. The building is beautiful, very clean and maintained. No busy traffic here like at fort myers beach. Really nice location at lovers key island. Walk the beaches and enjoy the nature of the island. will come back!
We are a couple hours away and wanted a weekend getaway. The room was reasonable as it's off season. Check in was great, the room was very clean. The views were AMAZING. We saw stingrays, dolphins, manatees, egrets, herons, pelicans, starfish, ospreys, and bunnies from our balcony. The staff were excellent. My daughter dropped a Florida Fighting Conch on her foot, cutting it in three places. Jose brought us supplies to clean it up, and band-aids. The next day, he asked if she was ok. Parking, loading and unloading were great. The not-so-good - We had room 1003, and unfortunately a very loud, obnoxious, buzzing sound came from the a/c area. This was easy to ignore during the day, but impossible at night. It didn't coincide with the air turning off/on, so who knows what it was. We didn't sleep well because of this. The pool is very clean, but smaller than it looks in the pictures. I could see it being very crowded. There's no bar service at the pool. The onsite restaurant has a limited menu and is expensive, but very good. There were no plastic cups in our unit. This makes it tough when you have kids. The light for the toilet was across the bathroom, past the sink and tub. This was awkward at night when trying to find the bathroom. Overall, very good, and we'd probably be back again just for the amazing views.
This resort was perfect for us and was excellent in EVERY way -- from customer service to the condition of the room and location. Clean, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. We definitely will be back! The only problem was that we DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE!
I have wanted to stay here for years, but like many business travelers have stuck to the same hotel chain. I decided for a change during off season and was not disappointed. 1 BR Condo even with Resort fee cost same as my normal hotel, but had a full kitchen and breath taking views. Very comfortable place to stay. Nice pool. Great service from staff. Note: Don't buy anything that needs a can opener (haha). South Eastern view gives you best sunrise, while the North facing units give you pool and dolphin views ( not just the great restaurant next door either). Western view gives you Lovers Key Park and sunset view.
Excellent customer service. Michael was wonderful, the room was perfect and awesome view of the pool. You must eat at Flippers and highly recommend this place and we will be back there. Loved it so much
Although I view a resort as someplace with a bar/restaurant (which they do not) there's plenty they do have. Great beachfront with plenty of lounge chairs. Short walk to the State Park (all on the beach I might add. Nice clean pool, grills for grilling your favorites. Not as busy as the North end of the island. Rooms are comfortable and have a balcony which we love. Do your shopping for units as some are VERY reasonable in price.
My wife and I just finished a week at Lovers Key Resort and I can say without a doubt that we will return whenever we can. The unit we stayed in, #603, is privately owned and has recently been completely renovated. The owners, Gale and Maureen, were very accommodating. The pool area is very beautiful and the on-sight restaurant, Flippers, is wonderful. But, what impressed us the most is the fabulous views out every window. We spent hours on the lanai gazing down at dolphins and manatee in the water below! Very much looking forward to my next stay, which we have already booked.
We have stayed at this resort numerous times and keep going back because it is so beautiful.. We always request a bay view so that we can watch the dolphins swimming in the Estero Bay. We love having cooking facilities. The staff is great. We were greeted by Erik, now the director of operations, who we have been seeing there for several years. April checked us out and she was so friendly and discussed our possible return trip later this year. It is like going home.
