The hotel is older, but for the price it was nice.

Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, centrally located, adequate breakfast and plenty of food. Easy check in and checkout. Pool was clean and well maintained. The parking lot was very well lighted.

It was not a bad place. Despite other reviews, I saw no roaches. Room was clean. I was a little unhappy that they try to scalp you another dollar a day to use the safe in your room. Shower was decent. Bed was decent. Not great, but much better then some. The biggest thing about this place, and it is not a fault of the hotel, is the idiots hollering outside my door in the middle of the night. I was considering going out and slapping them around. But the hotel is ok. Would I go again? I will probably spend more money, get out of town where it is not so busy. But if I had to that would be ok.

It was rundown and it smelled like they sprayed chemicals to make it smell clean. It shouldn't smell like chlorine when you walk into a room.

When I first arrived I was provided a room that smelled heavily of bleach, the bed comforter on a cigarette burn and the furniture along the wall was dusty. Also the bed was position at a slant which would have been an uncomfortable night of sleep. At the time that this matter was brought to the manager's attention she dealt with the matter in a way that was not understanding or welcoming. However I was giving another room which was better then the last which I attempted to make the best of. In the middle of the night a random man came to my door looking for a working girl to find out he had the wrong room. A working girl is someone who gets paid in exchange for sex. Not to long after I had received a knock on my room door I received a call from the same man stating that things didn't work out with the girl and if I was interested in meeting with him. There was a lot of other activity taking place along side the disturbances in which was obvious due to the amount of movement and police attention.

Let me start with this that if you are someone who want luxury and plan to spend his vacation at the hotel this is not the right place for you. But, if you are looking for great priced place to shower and sleep before you hit the road or the beach and you prefer to spend your money for entertainment or just for yourself this is the right place to be. Staff was very polite and friendly. The hotel have decent amenities including outdoor pool, free WiFi, free continental breakfast and free parking. Beds and pillows are very comfortable and the AC is working fine. Plenty of stores and restaurants around.

Room was filled with cockroaches, I never complain but there were more bugs and cockroaches running around this room than any hotel should ever let anyone allowed in really really bad I do not recommend this place dangerously infected with insects bugs and cockroaches I wanted my money back immediately and they did not give it back

Front desk assistant was rude, my room had dead bugs on the floor as if they don't come clean their rooms.

Unfortunately, like most hotels we stayed at in Florida within this price range, the room smelled of mildew. This hotel was older too.

The room was great clean and comfortable. I booked to room weeks before for the one night after staying that night I wanted to stay for the rest of the weekend although the office staff would not give it to me for the same price. I work in a customer service and to make a customer happy and return to your location I would have given it to them at the same price. Because of this I will not refer or return to this hotel. I am a Wyndham rewards customer also I travel all the time due to my Job and the Howard Johnson will not be a place I stay anywhere again.

Had a late night arrival, so wanted to stay clise to airport. King size bed comfy, continental breakfast was okay. Would not stay more than one night if on vacation.

Awful dirty room the refrigerator was broken the air conditioning leaked with left the carpet all wet the bathroom was dirty

smelly room worn rugs, broken bathroom fan reserved wake up call never happened softdrink machine broken etc, etc, cant recommend

The stuff like microwave and mini fridge is a little bit out dated but they still work only thing I didn't like was YOU CANT BRING YOUR FREE COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST INTO YOUR ROOM but other then that everything was alright

I visit ft myers at least once a week to visit my partner...I love the hotel n prices r great BT I hate the parking towards the back...I had to park in the back n walk around the hotel quite a distance to my room...sometimes I travel w family...

I booked the room on a third-party site as a part of a hotel/flight package, and when I arrived I met with a surly woman at the front desk. She set the town for what I could expect at this HoJo. She seemed annoyed that she had to check me in, and when I asked to pay for my pet (there is no option to do so on the third-party site) she sighed and told me I should have done so before hand. Excuse me for being honest about my pet... I should have not said anything and saved the $40 for the weekend. While I filled out the paperwork and paid my pet money I asked to make sure that the room was non-smoking, as I've had experience with third-party sites booking the wrong option. When I jokingly said I grew up around smokers my whole life and have allergies to it she grunted and said, Well I'm a smoker... tossed the room keys on the desk, and preceded to ignore me. She didn't utter a hello, welcome, good bye, or any other sort of friendly greeting the whole time. When I got to the room I found it smelled a little musty, but just assumed that, hey, it's Florida, it's going to be damp. When I investigated further I noticed the AC was dirty and pumping dirty air into the room... so I cleaned it up a little (you're welcome guys!). I'm not sure if there was wifi, because the front desk woman didn't bring it up and I was too agitated at this point to go talk to her about it. The TV had less resolution than my phone, the hair dryer blew warm air, and the ironing board was filthy. I think there might be people living in the motel (this IS a motel, mind you, not a hotel) on some sort of government assistance or something. There are plenty of shady looking people outside walking up and down the rooms (right outside of your doors, remember it is a motel, where the doors face the street), smoking and drinking with their shirts off and bellies out all day and through the evening. I barely slept the first night because of people making noise. To be honest I was very concerned about leaving my pets in the room any time I stepped out of the motel and would have booked a room somewhere else for the second night if I hadn't prepaid. Luckily I was in town for a wedding, and once I accepted my fate I had a good time seeing friends and enjoying the area. The next morning, just as I decided I had a good weekend and shrugged the HoJo off as a mildly irritating bump in the road, my dog and I almost stepped on a used hypodermic needle in the parking lot. I'm sure someone just needed a shot of insulin.

Internet was up and down in room 279. Understood that it was a wider problem than it was as the Internet was fine in the office area.

Receptionist was horrible and very rude to guest . Room was smelling of mould and not very clean

The hotel was convenient for our needs, price was very reasonable. We did have roaches in our rooms and they and sprayed while we were in the room.
