Great place to stay for the weekend. Quite and away from the downtown beach.

This hotel is located on the quieter side of Fort Myers Beach. The beach is a VERY short walk down the street which is fabulous. Parking is provided. The room I stayed in was small, not much room to walk around the bed. But I didn't mind because I was there for the beach not for sitting in the room. Bed was comfortable and room and bathroom was clean. I will be back!

Super friendly staff! I arrived early and was able to check in with no additional fee. The room was super small. Certainly a lot smaller than photos. But, it was just me and I spent most of my time on the beach and out in the evening. Nice place for the price I paid.

This was our first stay at the Flamingo Inn and Fort Myers Beach, and we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a premium efficiency, which had a full kitchen with granite counter-tops and premium appliances. The room was large and beautifully decorated with tile floors, a very comfortable king bed and a spacious, upscale bathroom. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Within a short walk is the widest, most gorgeous white sand beach I've ever encountered! The inn offers complementary beach chairs and umbrellas and I just can't say enough about the beach - the sunset views are to die for! The location is great, on the southern end of the island which in my opinion has a better beach with less congestion. There are plenty of dining opportunities nearby accessible by car, bike or trolley. It is also worth a short drive south to Lovers Key State Park, where you can rent a kayak to view the wild manatee's or bike on the miles of trails. The beach there is also fantastic!

I was going to rate this hotel typical or average for a beach resort. But a plumbing problem with the toilet on our second night changed my rating to below average. I reported that the toilet was not working at 6:30 PM, the office was still open, the response was that the maintenance person does not come in until the next morning. So what are we suppose to do for the remainder of the night and the next morning ?? Very inconvenient to try and find restroom facilities during the night. Checked out the next morning and maintenance still nowhere to be found. Also bedding needs replacement, pillows flat. Once again front desk said they were aware of the situation. Quality less than expected for the rates charged.

we were able to reserve a room last minute and it was awesome for the price and so close to a beautiful quiet beach!

Very good if your looking for a palce to sleep without any frills

Nice location , not so expensive , easy to park a car

WOW! Were we surprised to find out we had the first of the brand new renovated rooms. Very fancy and contemporary fixtures and cabinets in both the bathroom and kitchen. Could use new beds, but other than that a very nice stay for the price and the perfect location within walking distance to where my Inlaws were staying.

The Flamingo Inn was an OK place to stay. Nothing fancy, but worked well. The beds were not too comfortable and squeaked. Was a very short walk to the beach which was great. It's a little further south sown the beach than where most of the action seemed to be so it wasn't noisy at all.

last minute hotel choice and needed a low cost hotel in that area

The description for Hotel says inviting & 100 steps from the beach. Neither of those things are true our room was approximately 1/2 mile from beach, and the room was filthy. The beds were broke down and sagging in the middle, the floor was very dirty with dead bugs laying around (atleast they were dead) the only good thing I have to say about Hotel is the man working the desk was very friendly. I do not recommend this Hotel and will NOT be returning.

Well equipped efficiency kitchen. Staff was very helpful and had strong policy against noise and disturbances (during spring break week and could have been bad without quick action of staff when we complained about late night arrivals). Couldn't be beter for the price as it was only a minute walk to the beach. Highly recommend for couples with kids.

Smallest room in the place...but, near a huge beach.

Bathroom small and not in good repair. Other room had a dirty and worn rug. Bed ok and overall was clean enough except bathroom could have been cleaner.

This was a nice place with a very helpful staff. The motel met our needs for this trip, but had two very prominent shortcomings. First, the bed was very noisy and uncomfortable. Second, the shower was small and the water pressure was non-existent. The location is great and it is really a quaint European-style atmosphere and a good value. But, the basics of a bed and shower were disappointing.

Really close to the beach. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment. Great value. Clean. Manager was very friendly and answered any and all questions we had. Peaceful.

The hotel is old, provides no lawn chairs for the beach or extra towels. Only one chair in the room to sit in. Shower has no pressure, takes long time to rinse off. Appliances are old & very small. No hair dryer provided in the bathroom. Furniture is old & in need of replacement. No view from windows, no place to sit outside. Two plastic tables outside but too close to the road. No resturants close by.

The beds are CHANGED ONCE A WEEK. The room is CLEANED ONCE A WEEK. Fresh towels and washcloths are supplied every day. Garbage is taken out every day. Beds are made every day. If you need a hair dryer you must request one at the office which is a couple blocks away. If you need an iron or ironing board, you must request one at the office, again a couple blocks away. Rooms are well worn and in need of repair. The Hidden Harbor rooms are not in the same building as the Flamingo Inn. They are across the street and about a block and a half further. Management was very nice.
