Nice location, rooms very well maintained, as well as property. Great place for family and extended stays. Feels a little nit picky as they count room keys, towels, kitchen supplies, etc upon check out, but I realize they are protecting their assets. Pillows lack, but bed very comfortable.

Excellent beach front resort, never had parking problem. Night sercurity helped load luggage for an early flight. Lots of traffic had to plan outings accordingly .

Location was great, just down the way from the boardwalk but not too close to all the noise. Staff was friendly, room was clean. Right on the beach great view fresh clean beachtowels daily. The only problem we had was parking, there’s not enough parking and we had to park on the opposite end of the hotel every night. We would wake up to see dolphins swimming right outside every morning.

Great small hotel... with barbeques, shuffleboard, tetherball, and right on beach. We were able to watch sun set from our oceanview balcony. Room was very clean and updated. There was a fee to rent chairs on beach. We bought chairs across street at Publix for less than one day rental fee.

The resort was clean and in good physical condition. All of the housekeeping staff were wonderful and happy and excellent. Front desk staff was grumpy more than once. Skimpy place. Coffee pot in the room but no coffee or liners to make the coffee. A teeny tiny kitchen. Very hard to make real food. We stayed for days and they cleaned our room once. So it was just okay. Best thing was the view, and the sister Hotel was wonderful and you are allowed to spend days there.

Everything was great from check in to check out even with Irma on the way. Room was perfect. Close to the fantastic beach and restaurants. Staff was friendly and accommidating. They had great suggestions on where to eat. Will stay again. Our prayers go out to you all!!

Nice place for Ft Myers Beach, resort style, up the road alittle more quite and away from the main strip.

Hotel is on the beach with the Publix grocery store and Charlies Boat house restaurant within a few minutes drive. Chairs and umbrellas, jetskis can be rented right from the hotel beach, plus any other water activity like para sailing, water tours can be arranged through the guest service desk, with beach pick up to the destination. Two pools, one for kids/family's and one for adults only...open from 9am to dusk, so if you dont want the noise of pool fun....dont stay in the rooms near the pool. Grills to cook out on.....ground level ocean side rooms have a larger patio area......but again, two lower ocean side rooms are right next to the pool. the only thing I wish was that they raked the beach....but it is a nautraul beach setting so I understand why they dont.......good for shelling. Our stay was very nice....we would stay there again!

The sandpiper was wonderful. Right on the beach. To our surprise on check in we had to pay a 75.00 fee for use of hotel pool and activities. Not include in the Orbit room prices. Per the sandpiper. Not a great start to otherwise very nice hotel.

Our stay was actually quite pleasant. We spent the majority of our time on the beach. Did not spend the $15/day for chairs and umbrellas, but instead purchased our own beach chairs at the local Publix for a little more than 1 day's rental. Our beach-view room was on the first floor. Great lanai to sit out on and watch the sunset, but a little too close to the Volleyball net and to the chair/umbrella storage. There wasn't a lot of privacy and it could get pretty loud, both from the volleyball players and the guys driving their little tractor back and forth setting up/taking down the beach chairs. The full size fridge was great. We were able to eat breakfast & lunch in our room and then go out in the evening for a nice dinner. The Publix is within walking distance, but beware that it is extremely busy most of the time, so there was never a "quick trip".

Sandpiper was great, clean, beautiful rooms, great porch on which to have coffee and watch the ocean. Free coffee every morning. My only complaint was an issue with the older air conditioning unit. Didn't work good the first night, very loud noises, and had to open the windows. Repairman came in the next day to fix it, and it was much more comfortable the 2nd night. I loved that they gave you privileges at their sister hotel The Pink Shell at the other end of the island. we were able to park our car there and go to Jacks for dinner in the hotel; sat at a table outside and watched the sunset.

Front desk wasn't helpful with information about the area nor in checking out

The first night we were awakened by a loud and frequent intermittent noise. We called the office and Mike took care of it within minutes, the noise turned to be a broken soda machine. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed fresh coffee made each morning by the staff. It was quiet and relaxing. I want to especially thank Mike and his wife for helping us out, and making our stay more enjoyable. The weather was so beautiful.

The Sandpiper Gulf Resort is fantastic!! It consists of 3 buildings. They aren't the huge high rise type so I was happy! The room was beachfront and very comfy! The kitchenette is very well equipped with a full sized fridge & a 2 burner stove! Everything was great! I will definitely return & highly recommend!

Hotel was clean and on the beach; however, rude front desk staff and slow follow-up from management.

Everything was great! The staff at the desk when we checked in was friendly and was able to tell us great places around town. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. overall, I'd stay there again!

It was great except I booked the penthouse and at the last minute I was down grade because the owners came

My family went over THanksgivng break 2013. Hotel was great in some areas but poor in others. Great location, beach, staff. Poor elevator broke (climbed 3 flights of stairs). Room cleaning inconsistent. Breaker in room got tripped several times and alarm clock was broken. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

We were in Ft Myers for a babymoon. The hotel is located on a beautiful strech of beach. We walked the beach in the morning and the evening. Our room had an oceanview with a patio that overlooked an adult only pool. The patio was perfect for watching the sunset evey night. It was a quick drive to the local restaurants and shopping.

The room was perfect for me ,conveniently located, oceanfront full kitchen and felt secure without a worry in the world. Perfect get away. Able to drive short distance to lovers key state park, sanibel islands, i love the south end of the beach absolutely gorgeous views. I was also able to use facilities at their sister property which includes spa and heallth club, waterfall pools ,bongo beach bar. Staff at night when i arrived was great as i got in around 11. Super helpful and great personalities. Had waverunners parasail for rent right outside hotel . Also had grills outside. Eerything about trip was great. I will definitely stay here for many years to come.
