booked this motel for it's price and it is right off the hwy. We were up graded at check in to a king room nice big room everything worked fine. They have a gameroom with couch's free pool table ice maker also had a pinball and vidieo game.. Downtown had plenty of food most closed by 5pm but there was a good bar and grill that had good food. there is a hy-vee store & liquor store all so.. As for breakfast donuts coffee milk juice waffles the norm for a cheap nights sleep...
Excellent service, clean, relaxing , great value, close to town and fairground.Loved the service and cleanliness. great experienced and we will go back and refer to my friends and famuly. new management really rock. they are really cooperative and helpful. i stayed in april 2017 with my family there. it is really great experience. everyone should visit ones and appriciate new management hard work.
Yes, the property needs updating but I had a good experience. The desk clerk was friendly and professional, my room was very spacious, it had an in room coffee maker and also offered a simple breakfast. My room, while on the first floor, overlooked a peaceful courtyard area that was 2 floors up. I appreciated being able to keep my windows open and still feel safe. The room was clean and the towels were fine. There is also a game room with arcade games and a pool table. My kids would have loved this when they were little.
I think that the motel cleaner did not put clean sheets on the bed after the last visitor. In the morning, I found a bug on the bottom sheet that was dead. Turns out that there were more live ones crawling on the bedspread and the sheets. I did not bother to check out the free breakfast, I had already lost my appetite.
Possibly the worst room I have ever seen. Smelled like stale cigarettes and filth. Curtains had holes in them. Looked like it had original furniture from decades ago. I would have slept in the car if we hadn't been able to secure an alternate room in another motel in another city.
This place smells, very dirty. It needs to be shut down! The wash clothes looked like rags, windows in our room were so dirty you couldn't see out! The fire department needs to see if they are up to code. The comforter smelled like mold! The sheets were so worn out. I can't believe I spent money to stay at this awful place.
I recently stayed a night here after getting caught in some nasty weather in Eastern Iowa. It was an ok place to stay. Nothing special about it. Fairly clean. The table & chair were falling apart, but somewhat useable. The layout of this motel is quite unique as well. There was no ice in the ice machine. The entry to this motel slopes way down, so was interesting getting in there in the snowstorm.
We were trying to find a place to stay in Fort Dodge, but all of the hotels were full due to a baseball tournament. So, we ventured out to Webster City. The front desk person was the best part of the stay. She was very polite and respectful. The room was in dire need of a remodel. - The room needed a new coat of paint and the bathroom fixtures were rusted. - The room was not the cleanest, but not the dirtiest I've seen. - There was no blanket on the bed - just a sheet and bedspread. - I tried to find some Kleenex tissues, but there were none in the room. I went to get a box of Kleenex from the front desk I was told there weren't any available in the whole hotel. I would not recommend this hotel. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I'd drive another 50 miles to find another place.
In reading the reviews for this Motel we very leery on staying there. But we thought we would take a chance. We are so glad we did. It's owned by a young family trying to make it work in this economy. We received outstanding guest service though out our stay. Yes, we had a room key, It felt like home. The room was big and very clean. We were pleasantly surprised with a refrigerator with freezer (love frozen Pepsi) and a Microwave. Nice size TV that swivels. Please support them as they are trying to be successful in a small town. Will stay there again. Cute little town.
I have stayed at many hotels, and had good experiences. The manager of the Executive Inn In Webster City was Drunk at 9:30 in the mourning, not to mention very rude. Their so called breakfast was cereal with no milk. While attempting to eat the so-called continental breakfast, the managers were fighting yelling profanities at each other. I also watched as several people checked in and were given different room rates, obviously derived from their appearance..I was charged $68.00 which I paid cash for my room, and a gentleman checked into a room right next to mine (identical room) was only charged $38.00 with a check. When I asked the manager, Which I caught his name Damien, about the room rate, He told me I was charged more because the room had a new toilet? Okay! The only thing that was in good shape was the care of the room. I think the managers should have housekeeping do their jobs, as they cannot handle the management position.
