Excellent please
Restaurant was the worst we ever seen from a 4 star hotel. Terrible service, lack of service and once served you were forgotten! All steaks are well done regardless of request! Fried duck was raw! Dinning area on the terraza was primitive. Would not recommend to anyone to use the dinning for dinner. Breakfast was very good
It is the best hotel in Fort de France for sure. It's new, great location. Everything else I've seen in the city is worn out. The restaurant is overpriced.
Would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat if I ever go back to Fort-de-France. Most staff spoke English. The bathroom has an outlet that takes 110V plugs. All the staff was courteous. We had a view on the opposite side of the city view so we could see ships and ferries docking and leaving
The hotel is conveniently located and in relatively new condition, which makes it perhaps one of FDF's nicer hotels in the downtown area. That being said, downtown is a bit hit or miss. But if you want to stay near the airport or check out FDF for a day, Hotel Simon is a good bet. The restaurant has lovely staff, but the food is -- while presented well -- terrible. But I'm a food snob! It's also expensive, though most things are on the island. The rooms are well outfitted and the bed is quite comfortable.
Lovely hotel. Great minimalist decoration. Chambermaids were great. The service in the restaurant is poor. The waiters were slow and did not give enough details about the content of the menu. The dinner menu is limited. Breakfast is good but the croissants could be better. Working knowledge of English is fair.
I stayed at Simon Hotel only 2 weeks after opening. Overall my stay was good, but the hotel probably wasn't ready to open when they did. Pros: Friendly and helpful staff Very clean and modern Good location in Fort-de-France Parking and Wifi included Cons: Still under construction Booked for 2 beds, however they only had king beds Bedding is a bit itchy, but clean Overpriced breakfast (but to be fair the whole island is overpriced) Overall I enjoyed my time at Simon and would consider ataying again! I do recommend the hotel for the location.
We were one of the first to stay at the hotel. Even though the hotel is now open, it is not entirely complete. There were only two out of about 6 floors open. So our option of a suite was not available. No one told us in advance. The rooms are all new & modern. Has potential after about 1 year. Customer service could have been better, considering that the hotel was not crowded at all. Staff appeared overwhelmed. People are fluent in engligh & french.
