I had a wonderful time in Martinique in part due to my stay Centre International. The staff was always friendly and helpful. I tended to start my day early, so it was great to have breakfast available there as well as dinner. It was very convenient.
This place had everything we needed for a night before heading to the airport and after a week of sailing. Our room with four beds in a row made us all smile:) The best thing was the gentleman on the desk who was very welcoming and helpful and spoke good English - sorry my French is awful. He booked us a taxi for the airport and was knowledgeable about the time we would need to leave for our flight and also made a great suggestion of what we might do for our evening.
I was totally satisfied with CSI! I would recommend it to anyone who can't afford or is not interested in a luxury hotel. The only challenge was the public transportation to and from there, because I chose not to rent a car. I appreciated the fact that I could have diner there every night, and it was always good. I also enjoyed breakfast (delicious bread) and the fact that it was free.
I spent five nights at the hotel from where I went on day trips, hiking in the mountains or along the coast using a rental car. For this purpose, the hotel is amazing! It is centrally located (for driving), has secure parking, offers great breakfasts and has friendly and very helpful staff. Note that the location is less ideal if you plan to go out by foot.
Nothing special, rooms almost remind me of hospital rooms because they are bare and fluorescently lit. No curtain or barriers in the shower so the eater goes everywhere. Not walkable to anything, but decent for the price point.
We stayed 1 night in between our flight from French Guiana and New York. We picked this hotel because it is not far from airport. We arrived late and left early the next morning. The front desk staff was very helpful in booking a taxi. The room was basic but nice and comfortable.
Very clean and well-maintained hotel. Parking was easy. Nice restaurant right inside the lobby. The rooms are modern, spacious and spotless. Beds were a little hard but still got a good night sleep. Lobby had plenty of space to relax as well.
On a cruise ship and this is the first time we have been to Martinique. Should have realised not much history and not much to do on the island by the poor choice of trips available from the ship. Never mind we always get off and get a local taxi to show us around. Well at these prices that was not happening especially as there was no history to see. It seems the best place to go is the botanical gardens! There are only a couple of beaches and you could get a water taxi to them there was one in the town but very small and certainly not picturesque. The town was very very run down and full of the usual souvenir and shoe shops but at twice the price of anywhere else. Back on the ship for us and deffo on our list for not coming back !
The front desk service and breakfast was great. The location was very far from anything. The sheets were never changed and a winning scratch ticket was taken from our room. We also had very noisy neighbors at some point.
I didn't know what to expect, but pleasantly surprised. The room was functional and comfortable, the bathroom odd (no shower curtain and a hand-held shower head), and the overall feeling of the hotel was that of a university dorm. But value for money, considering how expensive hotels are in Martinique, I would probably return to this hotel the next time I go to Martinique. My only real complaint is the isolation of the premises, no nearby restaurants so one is forced to eat in the cafeteria, the food being rather mediocre.
