Ready for quick access to the beach as well as a serene & peaceful getaway with an expansive outdoor oasis including a private heatable* pool & hot tub? Welcome to Heron Hideaway! This brand new Folly Beach vacation rental home is a quick 5 minute walk to the beach down a quiet path to the beach access point. Located on a low traffic street in a tree-filled residential neighborhood, this house provides its guests close proximity to the beach and Folly Beach's restaurant row on Center Street without all the congestion and noise that you'll find on the busier streets of the island. Heron Hideaway features several terrific outdoor areas, including a standalone screened porch in the backyard, a second floor back deck looking out on the backyard and a patio area on the lower level between the backyard and the house. Two of the home's bedrooms are located on the top floor, two of the home's bedrooms are located on the main floor and there is a game room with a dartboard and mounted smart TV in the lowest level of the home. Certain small dogs may be welcome to join you for your stay -- please make your dog requests in advance of your stay.

Guests enter Heron Hideaway by walking up the exterior stairs in the front yard to the front door of this home. Once you enter the front door, you will find a foyer from which you can access the kitchen, living room and hallway to the two bedrooms and one bathroom on the home's lower level. Take the interior staircase to the second floor to access the two second floor bedrooms and one shared hallway bathroom. You can access the back deck from the living room. Take the interior staircase to the home's lowest level to find a game room.

Folly Family Stay

My husband and I brought our two high school daughters, their two friends and our two dogs. The house was perfect for the amount of people and animals we had. We did not feel crowded at all! Weather was great, pool was warm and everything was close by and walking distance.

Off season beach fun

Folly trip

Generally everything was fine, it was clean inside & the communication was good. The garbage disposal did not ever work, and I did not report as it was not a big deal, but there is no stopper for the sink & no disposal key to turn the blades. I could have made it work if that necessary tool was there. there was no broom that I could find, so the porch & pool area was a mess that I couldn't sweep off. Lastly the pool & hot tub were great, but of the 5 evenings we requested the hot tub to be turned on only ONE NIGHT did the tub jets come on correctly. the other nights it got hot, but the jets did not run. We also felt the outside ground surfaces & furniture should have been a good bit cleaner, the place needs a pressure washing & good tidying up. I only say this to enhance the property's value from a rental standpoint, had I actually seen this prior to renting I would have asked for a discount. Aside from those small inconveniences the overall quality of the property & location was fine.

Great House! A Few Hiccups

We rented this house for my sister’s bachelorette weekend. The house was absolutely beautiful and perfectly clean and ready for our arrival. When we arrived the pool was unfortunately full of leaves (understandable as pool cleaning was scheduled for Friday and we arrived Thursday night). However, the hot tub was completely empty when we arrived. The communication was a little bit difficult until we got an it too employee on the phone. After this it was smooth sailing and they were very helpful! We unfortunately were not able to access the bathroom in the basement due to a missing key, but the rest of the space was unlocked and available for use. Pool cleaning came on Friday morning and everything was in tip top shape for the rest of our weekend! Their policy states to not request early check-in, because they will notify you closer to the day of if the property I will be available early. We were notified at 1:58pm that it was available at 2 pm. I understand with cleaning schedules it may not be possible to give a better heads up, but if you are coming in from out of town you may want to plan to get into town earlier in case they text last minute about early check in. Besides, these few small hiccups, the house was absolutely perfect for our weekend and I would definitely stay here again!

great first visit to Folly Beach

We had a great time at this home. Lots and lots of positives and just the right size for our family of 6. The pool is amazing. the beds are very comfortable and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. The walk to the beach is more than 5 min but very doable. The kitchen is great. Lots of options for coffee making :) The only thing missing was a glass measuring cup and a pitcher to make sweet tea! Our boys loved the vintage video games in the bunk room. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The home was just as pictured, was clean and check-in was super easy. Response time to questions was fantastic. The pool is beautiful, and the walk to the beach was about 5 mins (once we figured out the 'secret' path/cut-through. We took daily early morning walks on the beach with our dog, which he loved as much as we did. If we travel through Charleston again, we will definitely try to stay here again. Thank you!

Perfect Family Vacation

This house was great for a family vacation! The location allows you to be able to walk to the beach and to restaurants. This is crucial during the summer months to avoid parking difficulties. The house was clean and well organized. The back porch was nice to eat out on and spend time with family. The pool was a great activity and kept my son entertained in the afternoon after a morning at the beach. The property manager was very helpful and timely with their responses. Would definitely stay at Heron Hideaway again.

Clean, comfortable, and well-appointed house in a nice neighborhood a few blocks from the beach and Center Street. The pool area, with seating, hot tub, and a screened cabana, was fun and a great gathering place for our group. The property is well-decorated and well-maintained. Outdoor Oasis

We spent Memorial Day weekend at this property. It was the perfect spot for 2 families with kids 7 yrs old to 12 yrs old. There was a short walk to town and the kids loved exploring the stores and getting ice cream during the rain. The walk to the beach was short but entertaining. You walk on a little bridge off the beaten path and were there within 5 minutes. The weather on Memorial Day was certainly not ideal, but the backyard saved this trip. The owners were accommodating and heated the pool so the kids swam in the rain. We actually barely went to the beach since it was so cold (though when we did, we found tons of sharks' teeth). The backyard has plenty of shade for hot summer days and the screened in pool hut was adorable! There is also a giant deck that is nice for relaxing and enjoying the summer nights. One of our favorite things was the record player! The parents and kids alike were fascinated by it and all decided to get one upon returning home.

Everything was perfect. The house is exactly as seen in the photographs, beds are very comfortable, bathrooms are clean, the house and yard were very clean and comfortable. A quick and easy six minute walk to the beach (literally from sand to door step) or a 10 minute walk to Center Street. A wonderful and friendly area. Homeowners made everything easy and communication was amazing. We will be back!
