Things would have been fine, except we had the hotel book us a taxi in the morning to our train, to goon to Wales.
When we were downstairs waiting at the arranged time and the car didn’t show, we asked the man at the front desk to call and check on the taxi. He kept saying no, to be patient and give it time. We explained we didn’t have time as the train wouldn’t wait and new tickets were £500.
Both my boyfriend and I asked that he just call, and he just wouldn’t. Eventually when we were about to miss the train we said no, you need to call.
He did - no taxi was booked as they promised it was the day before. Eventually we got another taxi, made it with 1 minute to spare.
When I asked him why he refused our multiple reasonable requests to do the basic thing we needed (and that the hotel said they had already done), he just said “what do you expect me to do about it?”
I expect you to call the company. He said what’s done is done and it’s not his problem.
He was rude at check in as well, but we let that go. But this was too far and he just kept telling me off saying it’s not his problem.
So honestly, ridiculous service and can seriously impede on your ongoing travel (no uber in area) because some guy who works at the front desk wants to decide what you should do as opposed to rational decision making. Unnecessary and lazy.
