Parrot Key Hotel & Resort

Recent guest reviews

We've been coming here for about 4 years now and it's been wonderful every single time .

Uniquely friendly staff, beautiful resort grounds and room, perfect location, I highly recommend it.

We were booked for several day but only stayed one night because the room smelled like mold

We spent our honeymoon in Key West and chose Parrot Key after reading other reviews. We were not disappointed. This was a perfect spot for us to getaway and was very private. My only worry while booking was being so far from Duval but the complimentary shuttle to Duval made our worries disappear. I would highly recommend this location for anyone vacationing in Key West.

Room is clean, nice staff, great water front room view.

All stuff showed warm hospitality and professionalism, who made all the guests special. Although we had to wait our check-in and a special offer for much longer than expected, they all showed the urgency for the solutions. At the end, the little things made the difference from others.

Everything about this resort is charming. It is a restful place to stay at the end of a busy day. Easy access to so many activities.

terrible. We booked a hotel for a set of men from our company. The room was paid in full. They needed a credit card for incidentals We told them to give us an hour to provide this t them but to let the guys go to their rooms. They said no and they needed this right away. We stopped in the middle of the highway and tried to return the credit card authorization to them. They said this was not good enough and it had to be signed. They made the guys wait for 3 hours until they received the paper work the way they wanted it done. Very poor service and not helpful. Other hotels in the are have accommodated. Will not be staying here ever again. Will pay extra to stay in another hotel.

nice get-away. happy with our accommodations, loved the pool and bar/food area. happy to have jet-skiing available on premise. guides were nice and knowledgeable. happy to have convenient parking. will definitely visit again. staff was friendly.

I was disappointed with the overall experience. N my second night guests in the room next door decided to throw a party at 2 am . I called front door to discover no staff on grounds after 11 pm. A number was given to contact security which was disconnected. Finally at 3 a.m. I walked to main entrance and found security number on the door which was not the one on the recording. After three calls the drowsy security guard answered. At 3:15 am he arrived at the room next door to shut the party down. When I spoke to management the next morning they stated I should have called the police. Not the response I expected.I demanded a credit for the night which was given but I would never stay at Parrot key again.

Nice hotel. Enjoy my stay. Will come again.

Admittedly, the Parrot Key met our needs on a impromptu mini vacation helping to introduce us to Key West. Staff amiable eager to provide service, but there's too much emphasis on selling alcohol becoming off-putting. Chicken wings are the best I ever had but the menu is very limited. Television service is cumbersome not user friendly lacking any written instructions and no movie or cable selections. Our room was not cleaned until we had mentioned it to the front desk and floors did not appear clean finding the bottom of our feet dirty after walking on it. So although a 3 rating, and despite the other amenities being good i.e. pool and design of our room, the other issues and the cost do not make this a cost benefit for future consideration. We believe we are better served finding accommodations on Duval street given the issues identified and the cost of our room.

Pleasant Clean Comfortable Relaxing Usually Quiet Excellent Food Reasonably Priced Good Service

Was unaware of the $300 security deposit, until check it . If a place advertising free airport shuttle-- they should provide it.

It wasn't as close to activities or a beach as we hoped. Couldn't access the beach from hotel. Rooms were nice but no fridge. Also, you could hear the people in rooms beside and above us.

Great location - only a couple of miles from old town - close enough to be easy to get to - far enough to be away from the insanity of Duval Street. Were only there for one day - wish it could have been for a week.

Room smelled of mold I found hair in both bathrooms in the drains. Master sink was cloggedwhen I tried to pull the stopper out I discovered the sink drain was full of a very stinky gross goo not to mention the stains on the couch in the living room the TV did not work in the second bedroom. When I spoke to the staff and check out about the issues that I have encountered I received Hey less then expected concerned they seem to have no sense of urgency to my plite . But I was comforted with two free breakfasts to the resort for my discomfort which I promptly threw in the trash. Good luck and stay the hell away from there

Good location, water sports nicely located in the hotel

This was a great place to stay. It was quiet but still had the feel of Key West.

Parrot Key was our selection for a two night stay and we enjoyed every minute. The room was modern and clean and each formed part of a community of cottages surrounding not one but four pools; we could chose and felt we were in our own tropical paradise. The complimentary hotel bus service was perfect for a trip into town or to the beach. Bar and restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly. We took advantage of the free sangria! We will return, I hope, in the not too distant future.
