The in-room smoke detector was covered with blue tape. There was a very bright light just outside my window that stayed on all night. The road leading to the property had multiple large potholes.

Snow storm!

Nice place to stay and ride out the major snow storm. Though they increased the prices by 70%. Rooms were great but breakfast ran out of almost everything and they wouldn't refill.

Find someplace else to stay

I booked a room at the Sparta Ramada using the Hotels app. I used the pet friendly filter to find hotels available. This hotel came up as one of them, which I will prove in the picture with this review. When I arrived, I was given a key to a room, the key did not work in the side door or the room. I had to go to the desk and was given another key to another room which would not open the side door either but did open the room door. We left to get something to eat and I received a call from the hotel desk telling me that pets were not allowed. I explained to him what the hotels app showed and then showed it to him when I got back to the hotel. He told me I had to leave and he would refund my stay. After a week of hotels.com trying to get him to refund, he refused. I will never stay here again and I will advise everyone I know about it. I gave him a chance to keep his word, he chose not to. Drive the extra 20 minutes and stay at a better place. That’s what I did and will do from now on.

Exceptionally Clean. I travel a lot and stay at economic hotels by the freeway - The Ramada at Sparta was exceptionally clean. A great and economic midpoint stop between Louisville and Cincinnati.

Disappointing stay

This was the first time in many years the hotel did not put the breakfast out early for the hunters. I have chosen to stay at the Sparta Ramada because they have made that single concession every other year. I and my other hunting friends that have stayed here for years may look elsewhere in the future. The staff was friendly and have been around for years.
