very cheap, but problem with bed bugs. long wait for check-in even after midnight

A good hostel about 10 minutes away from SMN station. Definitely more of a party hostel in the city and there was a bit too much noise in the street and courtyard areas at night. I booked a private room and it was very large (for Italy), although it did not have a balcony like the photos showed online. It would have been nice to have had a small safe in the room to keep things in while I was out for the day. Starting in the afternoon, the hostel had a security guard stationed just inside/outside the entrance making it feel very safe coming back at night. Overall, a very good hostel in Florence and I would recommend the private rooms. I do wish the private rooms were better represented on Orbitz, however, and the addition of a safe would make me feel more secure leaving my documents in the room during the day.

Stayed here because I stayed at a Plus hostel before and had a great experience. This one was not as good. Not as clean or well kept. Kind of a long walk from the city center. Also I was the only girl in a room with 5 guys. That would make some people rather uncomfortable. I feel like they could have planned that better.

Amazing Beautiful hotel. Perfect ubication

I stayed in an 8 bed dorm. The dividers & set up are fantastic. I love the feeling of "privacy." The locker closets are full size, but 2 of our 4 were broken & wouldn't close. It's close to one of the train stations, honestly not far from anything. Good security, awesome pool, waterfall, beer garden, communal areas, solid breakfast, clean. Large storage room for holding your bags. My one complaint, is that noone can move on their bunk without it loudly squeaking. Literally, the slightest movement or breath. Flimsy bunks. But the mattresses, pillows, & sheets were decent, so...as long as you don't move or just wear earplugs: all good. Staff also earns a lower rating. The front desk mainly. The cleaning ladies were welcoming & helpful. Maybe they should be greeting people instead of the cranky front desk peeps.

This is not a "Hostel" it feels more like a "Hotel". The location is perfect, just 10 minute walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station. The rooms are very big, modern and clean. The check in and check out is very simple and the staff are very kind and helpful in recommending restaurants and things to do in Florence. The owner of this hotel is the same owner for the restaurant 'Il Mercato Centrale" which is so gooodddd and tastyyy. Be sure to go there to eat. A++++

The hostel is great, the place is amazing but the common room closes at 10pm, thr bar closes also early like at 12:30/1am and they dont let you stay at the reception. There are two security guys that are not the nicest people in the world.. the guys at the bar are so nice tho, is just sad that they need to close early. The only bad thing of the hostel is that there is not a kitchen so they only have microwaves, i did my pasta in those lol, but it would be nice to have a bigger kitchen.. anyways this hostel is super recommendable and its full of great travelers, there were at least 40 argentinians lol

I would say this is more than a hotel than a hostel. We stayed here for a few nights while staying in Florence. Me and my wife had our own private room. They have a pool and nice lounge. Very nice and great bargain

Only downside was the noise. Other than that, fabulous facilities. The cleanest and most modern hostel I've ever been at.

The hostel was a great value and was clean. The staff and breakfast was good too.

We wanted to see Florence and the famous leaning tower of Pisa. This hostel is accessible to the beautiful parts of the city. We just walked around until our feet gave up! The hostel is clean and seems to be popular because there were many people who checked in that afternoon. There were three of us, all adults. Our room was like a small room in a school dorm with a double deck bed and two single beds! We expected better beds but we were so tired to complain!! Anyway it was just for one night!
