Lets start with the positive: The staff are charming, the rooms clean and big, breakfasts are satisfying and the location is quiet - something very important to me. However there is room for improvement considering how expensive this hotel is. The word "luxury" is NOT a word I would use to describe this hotel. I have stayed at enough luxury hotels to know. The bathrooms seriously need updating - the cabinets and furniture quite dated and bath products that are the size for one shampoo. We are a couple and whomever showers second always runs out of soap - I hate that. Another bit of a downer - Except for CNN, there are no English channels on TV. I realise most people dont fly into Florence to watch TV but only being able to see CNN (which I dislike) is disappointing. I am sure most of their guests do not speak Italian. That said, after we mentioned this to the staff a checkout, they told us they were in the process of addressing the problem. Another issue was the wifi - not great at all - something that a property of this price class should have no issues with.

The great strength of this boutique hotel is its wonderful service, staff and location. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted at the entrance by the manager Laura and the concierge Fabio. Nothing was too difficult or problematic for this wonderful team. We are a family of 4 so we had a suite which consisted of two interconnecting rooms. The rooms were very well decorated, clean and excellent size. The master bathroom was excellent, the second bathroom was not as luxurious. The shower is located in the bath, trying to get in could be difficult if you are not very mobile. A bottle of still water was provided in each room every day. We were provided with a mobile in each room to use for our stay. This phone could be used to make free international calls during your stay and to use it to navigate around the city. This was a good innovation that we found very useful. Breakfast was excellent each morning, you had a selection of scrambled eggs, vegetables, bacon, cereals and bakery items to choose from. We would highly recommend having dinner there, the restaurant was very good. The hotel is located in a quiet area of town overlooking a park, however it is only a 10-15 minute walk to everything in Florence. For people travelling with families that need to do laundry there is a self service laundry located only 600 m away. We highly recommend this hotel and would return if we are in Florence again.

Excellent hotel in a great place. Very nice staff! Very kind and helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful experience staying there. The hotel is small and gives you a good feeling. Very nice breakfast. Highly recommended.

Hotels can be expensive in Florence. However, this boutique hotel does a great job and doesn't break the bank. It is a short walk from the Centro Storico. The neighborhood is quite. The room was good but the ambience was fantastic. Have a dinner at the hotel restaurant and try the specials and culinary pairings. You will not be disappointed. I would stay here again. They have a sister hotel in Rome that is just as nice.

As soon as we arrived at the hotel , we were met at the door and nothing was too much trouble for the staff . Our room was clean, comfortable ( bed extremely so) and just the right size . We stayed in room 201. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Florence centre , perfect to stroll back after a busy days sightseeing . The hotel has just introduced a really handy smartphone that we were able to take out with us and use for maps, booking tickets , reviews of restaurants and attractions. So useful and free of charge for guests . We used the hotel bikes for the second day , lots of fun and again free of charge. Every member of staff that we had dealings with was polite , knowledgeable, available and most helpful. The reception recommended an amazing place to eat called Touch which is about 7 minutes walk away - one of the best meals we have ever had in Italy . Will certainly recommend this hotel to our friends and will return ourselves on our next trip to Florence . Only negative and it wasn't a problem for us is that the shower was over the bath , and the bath had very high and thick sides so if you were less able you might struggle to get in and out to wash. Only saying this to make other travellers aware but it might not be the case for other rooms at the hotel - if mobility is a problem I would check first .

We stayed here for 3 wonderful nights in Florence. A beautiful family suite for my wife and me and our 2 teenage daughters. We had dinner on the terrace the first night which was superb. Breakfasts were great too and the staff were so friendly.

Stayed in a family room (which in fact were 2 rooms with connecting doors) which was excellent for our small group. The hotel provides real 5 star service with very professional staff. Special thanks to the concierge Mr. Mentha who is a true master of his profession and provided very helpful advice regarding his city. Regarding hotel facilities I especially liked the sunny garden terrace (with a perfect Negroni). Also the free use of hotel owned bicycles was fun in Florence.

We stayed in one of their deluxe rooms which was large and furnished simply but with great taste. The large bed was particularly comfortable. The recharging points either side of the bed was a nice touch. The ensuite bathroom had a lovely large, deep bath but lacked a separate shower. All the staff were very professional, efficient and friendly over the 5 nights we stayed. The hotel managed to obtain that personal ambience that all good small luxury hotels get. There is a small comfortable lounge, and a nice garden area to sit n and have a drink.Location wise, it is a 10/15 minute walk to the central part of Florence. Taxis are easy to get if you’re feeling ‘tired’. I wouldn’t particularly recommend eating at the hotel. It is perfectly nice, but you can do a lot better in town. We would definitely stay here again

The Regency hotel is a Relais and Chateau old style Italian hotel. A little austere and yet very comfortable. Our junior suite had a lovely balcony overlooking the small park and got sun all day. Bed was comfortable. The reception staff were excellent. A nice place to stay about 5 mins walk to town

The staff was very accomodating and helpful. the room we had reserved did not have a walk in shower, so we upgraded to a superior room. It was large and well furnished. The beautiful marble bathroom met our needs . Staff very knowledgeable and helpful with reservations and transportation options.
