It was so central - and the main room felt like a lovely secret private club

The location is fantastic, the rooftop patio is perfection, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was charming and having it included was a nice bonus. My only suggestion is that the bedding is old and tired and should be replaced. Potential guests should know that the hotel is not handicap accessible since there is a staircase to get to the tiny elevator.

Excellent Hotel. Jolanda did everything to make our visit GREAT! Breakfast was excellent with many choices, the rooms were clean, staff friendly. Best location in Florence. I will return.

This was my second stay at this bella hotel in the perfect location for seeing the many treaures of Florence. There is a wonderful rooftop terrace that overlooks the Ponte Vecchio. The staff was welcoming and helpful in all our needs.

Perfect location for walking to almost anywhere in Florence. Extraordinary view from quiet rooftop garden. Quiet sitting room overlooking Ponte Vecchio great for drinks before dinner. Staff pleasant and attentive. Very clean. Highly recommended.

Next to river, in heart of tourist place, a block away from Uffizi, 4 or 5 blocks from Academia (David), plenty of restaurants nearby, and Lorenzo Basilica and market are close too. Maybe 2 miles from train station.

The Hotel Hermitage is a quaint Hotel in a great location. It has a nice view from the roof top. The room was small and the bathroom was very small with only a stand-up shower. The breakfast was average.

If you want the absolutely best location in Florence, the Hermitage Hotel is it! This hotel is definitely a little known gem since the cab driver had to ask the policemen on the corner near Ponte Vecchio where it was, and they didn't even know, even though they were only 10 yards from it! After getting past the check-in procedure, which was a little awkward being on the 5th floor, we got into our room and fell in love with the cute antique furniture, the great view of the street (Ponte Vecchio was blocked out by the Corridoio Vasariano), and the awesome bathroom with a huge jacuzzi tub! This was all great compared to typical European rooms. The view from the rooftop veranda was spectacular! The hotel is nice and secure at night with two locked doors, and a security code to enter the elevator. We always felt safe. The only disappointment really was the limited breakfast offering they had. This is not a 5-star hotel, but it is a great deal for the cost, and in a great location, if I haven't mentioned that yet. We will plan to stay here again when we return to Florence!

I loved this hotel! It is perfectly located in front of the Ponte Vecchio. The hotel is a typical small Italian hotel, the atmosphere is cozy and very welcoming. It was quiet and peaceful and the staff was very helpful. The perfect hotel to stay in if you're visiting Florence.
