This hotel is in a residential area but on a frequent bus route into the city, it is walkable along the river and this is quite pleasant but takes about 30+ minutes. The rooms were clean and comfortable but basic and dated. The buffet breakfast was standard and sufficient. As we had dinner in central Florence it didnt matter that there didnt seem to be any restaurants or bars near to the hotel.

Excellent welcome when we arrived. The hotel is clean if a little dated. The room had everything we needed although was smaller than hotel rooms we are used to in the UK. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The local bus service is efficient if crowded at peak times, but the walk into town was easily manageable in 20 mins. The local restaurant is exceptional for both quality and value - turn right out of the hotel and right again at the junction ...about 50 yds on the right. Excellent ice cream shop 50yds further on!! Excellent value - we stayed for a week.

Changed rooms when we got here because smell of sewage. New room just the same main hotel seems ok but annex rooms are very bad. The rooms are cold and have a damp feel to them. We have constantly kept the heater on. At breakfast the staff were very friendly and there was a lot of choice but the overriding factor of the room made this hotel a no go for me again.

Firstly, travelling from Pisa airport to Florence.... unless you particularly want to travel by train, or don't queue for tickets within the arrivals area, walk outside, turn right and you will see a yellow kiosk where you can buy a 10 euro ticket that will take you to the main train station in Florence - Santa Maria Novello - (5 Euro for children). The coaches run very regularly and was really convenient and cheap ! Takes about an hour and 10 mins. When you get to Florence, walk up the ramp into the station alongside platform 16, at the end of the platform, turn left out of station and find the local bus service, you need bus number 14 that will eventually take you to round the corner of the hotel. The hotel ... staff were very helpful and courteous. The appearance of the hotel was very 1980s. The rooms are basic and clean however, no tea and coffee facilities in the room, only a payable mini bar with no drinking glasses. The bathroom lighting wasn't adequate and made the room very dark and although there was a tv in the room, there are no English channels ( not that you go on holiday to watch tv ! ) however, if the weather is not good there is nothing to do as the bar is not open at all. As mentioned previously, the hotel is on a direct bus route (14) to the city, however when you have been out for the day, and returned to the hotel, there are no decent restaurants except one to walk to for a meal in the evening as the hotel is in a predominately residential area. No nice street bars, cafes etc like in the city. La Forca restaurant was our saving grace as served good food. Out of hotel, turn right, then left keep walking to end of the road, then look on the opposite corner. Breakfast times were good, 7am - 10.30am to allow a lie in, however the choice was very limited for a continental breakfast. We have travelled lots round Europe and a continental breakfast usually has some warm component i.e. Scrabble egg/ bacon. The only warm food here is a hard boiled egg, some cheese, ham, sliced bread, cereal, fruit and yogurt and lots of CAKE !! The plastic cups for fruit juice weren't appealing at all either. It seems a shame that the bottom floor where the breakfast room is isn't utilised more as it's baron with no purpose, no bar or amenities,it seems a such a waste. I hope some of the comments will be seen by management as constructive criticism rather than a moan. We did manage to have a nice trip away but next time would stay nearer to the city in the hub of it with more amenities around. You can walk to the city from the hotel in about 30 mins.... not the 15 that some reviews have said, also don't catch a train to Campo di Marte station from Florence - Santa Maria Novello (main station) to get to the hotel and then try to walk to the hotel from there, as it again would take 30-40 mins, not 15 as suggested by one reviewer ! Not easy to find and not easy pulling a case ! Ended up getting a taxi costing 15 euros.... hence the explanation at the beginning of this review about using the bus instead ! Learn from our mistake ! Hope this helps anyone going here.

Stayed here for Christmas and new years for a romantic vacation that ended badly (not the hotel's fault). This hotel is easily within walking distance of downtown Florence day or night, sober or drunk. The rooms were more than adequate...always clean and well kept. Beds were comfortable. Florence was beautiful. I will not think twice about returning to this hotel in the future but perhaps with a better choice of travel companion.

The hotel and service was average. We were in the main hotel, rather than the apartments. The room was outdated and looking a bit tatty. It needs an update or at least a refresh. The bathroom was dark with only one light, and as the shower was around the corner from the light it was like showering in a nightclub. The room was also hot, and we were unable to control the temperature ourselves. We slept with the window open and I ended up covered in itchy insect bites. The parking is pricey at €13 a day, particularly when this hotel isn't that central to Firenze (25 min walk along the river). Breakfast redeems this hotel slightly, with a good selection including some hot choices, plenty of cake and croissants, and nice fresh bread. Overall could have been a bit better for €63 a night.

This hotel experience was overall good, but with minor flaws. Not bad location in terms of city center and there were parking options at the hotel. My family and I did however get a room not located in the hotel building, but in the nearby building, which looked more like apartments, than hotel rooms. Therefore the WIFI was irregular, and at times non-existing from our room, but did function inside the hotel building. The breakfast was good and had a variety of options.

This is a small but very cozy hotel. The room we stay in was small but had a balcony, and you could sit and enjoy the street view. We just stay one night but I would definitivly ask to go back if I had the chance. The room and bathroom where clean. Food was nice too.

This place is around a 20minute walk from the centre which isn't too bad. Obviously the closer to the centre you get the higher the price you pay. The facilities were bang on, staff were friendly. Wifi and free breakfast. We got more than we expected. For those who haven't been before, be prepared to pay your city tax.

This hotel was very, average and, about right for the price. A pleasant, walk along the river takes you to the centre if Florence even straight to the ponte vecchie. Breakfast OK but not much choice although the staff, were very helpful. Not a four star though!
