We loved our stay with the palazzo. The food was phenomenal, the hosts were extremely accommodating, and the hotel itself is gorgeous. However, we encountered one major issue: we had an early morning train on our way out of Florence. We checked out the night before and let them know our schedule. However, once we were ready to leave, there was no-one available to open the main gate. Scared of missing our train, I had my sister ring the bell to open the gate and had to run to reception and figure out how to open the gate myself by pressing various buttons. While everything else went smoothly, this definitely put a bad taste in our mouth as we left.

Fantastic time, rooms extremely stately and beautiful but the staff was the real treasure here. Helpful and kind, always willing to go the extra mile with reservations, suggestions or information. Breakfast great, even will set up early if you have an early day. Location great to enjoy Florence or home base for day trips to Tuscany.

From the moment you walk into this hotel you feel a part of its history and appreciate that it was once a amazing family home. Wow. The ambiance makes you feel relaxed and does it staff who are more than willing to assist when ever needed. The location of the hotel is superb to everything and has a couple of amazing restaurants opposite and to the side. Our room was like a scene from a film, waking up to al denti ceilings and sculptured angels was a experience in itself. The over sized jet bath did my back the world of good after sitting around drinking fine Cianti on the piazza and river all weekend! A truly lovely place and one we will return to, if not only for the bath and angels! Magnifico! Mr & Mrs Burt (London)

Few rooms, incredible palace and perfect service. The pictures of the website are beautiful, but reality is even better. Rooms are just as a room should be. Elegant, full of space and beautiful objects. Even the ceiling was decorated with elegance and taste. Garden perfect for a drink or a snack. Breakfast was good and served on ask and not as a buffet as in most of the hotels. Truly 5 stars.

The pictures of this hotel are what captivated me when I made our booking for the week between Christmas and New Years Day. The beautiful murals on the ceiling especially. I imagine they exist somewhere in the hotel, but not in the somewhat drab little room we were in. However, as bleak as that sounds, we really weren't disappointed. The staff were very cordial and helpful, especially Marta. The breakfasts in the morning are outstanding. And the location of the hotel could not be better, short of looking over the river. But still, you are just steps from the Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo and the train station, and there are at least three fantastic restaurants located on the same alley, one directly across from the hotel. And, despite our room being pretty boring, we had a nice sitting room right outside the door, and the common areas of the hotel are lovely, especially when decorated for Christmas. I would most likely stay there the next time I'm in Florence, but I will be sure to book one of the more beautiful rooms. Also, our room got quite a bit of street noise. For being on such a narrow alley, there is a LOT of traffic.

A magnificent place in the hearth Florence. You feel like home surrounded by beautiful paintings and artworks. Staff is very nice and helpful. Best place in Florence I have seen, strongly recommend it!

Just a few blocks from everything the hotel was quiet and the people very friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the room was beautiful. This is definitely a place to return to as the hubbub of the tourist area, although close, seems far away.

This is one of the most interesting B&Bs we have ever stayed in. In a deluxe double room, (205), you have 20 foot ceilings and all in frescos. Superb beds, wooden parquet floors, and argan oil based amenities. Not to mention the free mini-bar. We took up 5 of the ten rooms, with my brothers family and mine. The breakfast is a la carte and very sumptuous. A glass of Prosecco, sun dried tomatoes and wonderful olives is yours when you first sit down as you wait to have your passport copied. The reception (one person) is extremely helpful all the time. Plenty of large living rooms spaced throughout. Immensely quiet when the windows are closed. Located Just north of the Ponte Vecchio touristist area (takes about 10 min to walk there) and only 5 min from the train station. It is the service, the infrastructure and the sublime charm that makes this a five star B&B.

I've just spent 5 nights in this wonderful, old-world Palazzo with my wife and teenage son. The three of us stayed in what we called the 'Red Room' officially known as the 'Baldacchino Rosso' (or Red Canopy). The room was enormous, luxurious and very quiet and we had an ensuite marble bathroom and a separate shower room and lavatory which was convenient for three persons. The Marchesa who owns and decorated the Palace is apparently associated with Christie's Auctions and it really shows! Every corner of the common areas of the palace is absolutely exquisite and adorned with beautiful antiques, each bedroom ( they only have 10) is unique and equally stunning. Every time we returned to OUR PALACE we felt as though we were entering a time capsule! This gem of a place is made even more unique by the fact that all the marvelous staff actually treat you as if YOU are the owner and they are YOUR staff and they go out of their way to make the place feel like your own home rather than a hotel! Everything you ask for, be it a glass of Prosecco at any time of the day, afternoon tea and cakes in the rooftop garden (one of only 3 in Florence) or a specially prepared breakfast, or a refill of your mini bar is included in your hotel rate and always available. All the staff were impecably dressed, efficient and helpful but a special mention must be made for the charming Martha one of the duty managers who looked after our every request and her restaurant recommendations were always spot on. The location is very central yet just far enough away from the hussle of the busy centre which is never more that a ten minute walk away. From now on whenever we visit Florence this will be our very own 'Palazzo away from home'..... there really is NOTHING like it!

The title says it all. The hotel is an old small palazzo, in a typical Florence style. It really makes you feel part of the city. The garden is very lovely and extremely charming, for breakfast or late afternoon drinks. Our room was very large and with a nice original decoration. Location is perfect, in the center of the city but just a little bit away from the major touristic attraction. Service was spectacular, all the personnel being amazing, nice and very helpful. Great place to stay for a Florence visit.
