Very clean, cozy and the staff was great and friendly. Not far for center and in good area. Breakfast was good, its Italian style, with freshly made coffee and pastries. Good pizza down stairs and super nice beer bar very near
We chose this hotel as there was affordable overnight parking located 15 minute walk away. The hotel is located on the second floor of a building (no elevator). It is a small hotel with maybe 10 rooms. The hotel & room were very quiet and clean. There is a nice little outdoor terrace where we sat and had snacks we purchased from a nearby supermarket. the location is about a 20-40 minute walk to the centre dependiing on where you are going. The hotel offers a nice typical european contential breakfast - crossants, rolls, cold cuts, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea and juice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights and had a very restful sleep.
Very convenient location close to the train station and all major attractions. Great service and breakfast. Rooms are clean , beds very comfortable. There's a grocery store nearby and Burger King as well.
Lovely little hotel. Good breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms. Within walking distance of Il Duomo and Ponte Vicchio bridge. Free WiFi available. Friendly service. Reasonable price. Only problem may be the flights of stairs to access it.
This hotel and its staff are what a hotel should be like. After reading some of the reviews, I must say the people who wrote them are off by a long shot. Being a world traveler and staying at some of the best properties in the world, Hotel Emma is right up there with the best of them. Upon arriving to meet Tim at the front is a pleasure within itself. Hugh and his staff go out there way to make sure guest are comfortable and get what they need. Simone is walking around checking on guest as well. Shasta and Alyse both are on top of their game. With this property just opening within the last year, you guys have did a wonderful job adjusting to the needs of your guest. Hotel Emma is awesome.
Everything was good here. Quiet area, friendly and attentive gentlemen at the front desk, breakfast bar, outdoor terrace. This hotel is away from the city center, which was not good. But we like to walk so it was maybe 20 minutes walking distance from the center. Short taxi ride. The area itself was not bad. Quiet. Shopping and dining options nearby. If you stay here, you MUST try the pizza right next door! They are only open for dinner, but they have great pizza and beer. Ask for Carolina. She will take care of you.
Room was comfortable and we had our own bathroom. On an upper floor - no elevator. Staff (especially Jean Pierre) was FANTASTIC! Good wifi, great continental breakfast - bread, jam, spread, croissants, yogurt, etc.
We had booked 2 nights for the Hotel Emma in the Fall of 2015. The hotel was simply too far from the centre of Florence and what we were offered was a dirty dark room at the end of the dark hall. We tried to get a refund, but the manager was rude and was not willing to refund us for even 1 evening. We decided to take the loss, and not let this experience mar the start of a beautiful holiday inTuscany. We found a beautiful hotel that was MUCH more friendly, clean and that was walking distance from the Centre of Firenze. Read the other reviews..and find a different hotel in this beautiful city.
I stayed here for two nights. Good wifi, Clean room, although I thought the bed was bit too hard. The staff was friendly and courteous. I also thought it was a bit far out from the city center however, this isn't too much of a problem. The bus stations are just outside the hotel.. Makes it very easy to go to the main train station and back. Overall, it was a good stay. Wouldn't mind staying here again.
Bed bugs. Woke up in the morning to a dead bed bug and a live one in the bed and bathroom. Large spots of my blood in the bed where they had been feasting on me during the night. They did refund our money however questionable if they truly knew how to get rid of them. Sweeping does not cut it read on line for more info on them. Bad news.
