The hotel is at a 15-minute walk with a suitcase from the train station. The entrance is in the Leonardo DaVinci museum. The staff is friendly and very helpfull. The rooms are clean and very nice and so is the bathroom. The breakfast is great with a lot to choose from and there is water, juice and snacks available during the day. The hotel is very well located and close to most attractions.

Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. The hotel is nicely located 10 mins walk from/ to train station and within 5-15 to all major attractions. Many restaurants and grocery stores surround the hotel. The room I stayed is nice, big and clean. The air condition is very nice after a long day sightseeing. The bed is very of the best bed I had at a hotel. The breakfast was delicious with a many varieties. The only negative is Internet is a bit slow.

The location is great and the staff are friendly. There is a valet service for parking the car. The hotel located in the second flor and the elevator is very small. They also need to improve the cleaning of the room

The hotel has a funky, boutique hotel ambiance and atmosphere. The rooms were large, clean and well kept. The staff members at the desk were helpful and professional. My biggest issue was in the fact that the wifi connection went down for 1.5 days. Meanwhile, the hotel did not offer anything to compensate guests for this fact outside of an apology. I understand that there wasn't anything they could have done as they waited for technical repairs but something to make up for this significant inconvenience would seem like a given.

Average room size in Italy in a very convenient location very close to the Duomo. The staff is helpful and friendly. However, at least in my room, the wifi internet was awful. There was a connection but the speed was slower than ancient dial up. I brought this to the staff's attention, but they were unable to resolve this problem even with different ssid.

I Highly recommend this hotel. Good location, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and clean rooms. At the beginning is confusing to get there because the hotel is located on the second floor on the five floors building and there is another hotel on the same floor.

Clean room and convenient to all the sites. Helpful and knowledgeable staff - arranged last minute reservation for Uffizi visit and answered many other questions. Also had the most comfortable pillows I experienced in Italy.

I brought a group of 24 to Hotel Colomba and our stay was absolutely wonderful. The staff, first of all, were so helpful and friendly; Riccardo has an encyclopedic knowledge of food in Florence and we really appreciated his tips on where to eat. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is very high quality, and laid out beautifully. Hotel Colomba is a welcoming environment that we will definitely return to again. Grazie, Hotel Colomba!

Hotel Colomba was a great choice for us in terms of its price and location. It is a 15-minute walk from the train station and a 10-minute walk to the Duomo. The reception was quite helpful about where to go and visit in the city, which made things easier for us since we had only two days in Florence and a great deal of art and history to cover. Our room and the adjoining bathroom were rather small, but it came with the reasonable price. So, that wasn't a problem. The bed was comfortable. Finally, the breakfast was OK; it included all the basics. All in all, Hotel Colomba met our expectations during our trip to Florence.

Good: room size- the deluxe is very large and we had the view of the street. Large bathroom. Probably the largest we had on our trip to Spain, Portugal, France and Italy. Bed was soft and large. Mini bar prices were 1 euro for water and soda, 2 euros for beer. Very reasonable. The air conditioning was strong and the cable tv came in clear. The free breakfast included hot food and many bread, pastry choices. Eggs and sausauge were included. They also would make speciality coffee drinks for you. Very nice dinning area. We only stayed one night, but it was a nice budget hotel. Could be better: If you are entering the city via the S. Maria Novella train station and have wheeled luggage, this hotel isn't very close to walk to. Not the hotel's fault, but good to keep in mind if this is your first time. The sidewalks here are narrow and in busy tourist season, it's not easy to navigate the crowds to get to the hotel. It is possible, it just might take you longer than you thought. Also, the entrance isn't obvious. You'll have to enter the Da Vinci museum and enter the stairs to the left. There is a sign for the hotel, but it's not clear from the street. There is a two person elevator to go up to reception on the first floor. The staff here seems a little tired or maybe working there a little too long. They do offer you a map and suggestions of what to see, but this was like a routine speech that felt forced. Maybe they were having a tough day. We asked a few questions and we were lauged at. Why is there a string hanging in the shower, where do you buy cheap underwear, what are the mini bar prices? I guess these seem like silly questions and they didn't give much effort in their answers and laughed. They also keep your luggage in a sitting area/lounge that isn't locked. Our room was actually facing the street and you enter it via the sitting room of the hotel. When we came back at night it was awkward walking by guests having wine in the lounge as we opened the door to our room. Thanks to the sound proofing we couldn't hear them right outside the door. There was some trash truck noise off of the street in the early hours of the morning. Overall it was a good location to be in to see many of the attractions and was a spacious room. Just allow yourself enough time to get to and from the train station.
