I don't know about you but there are two things that are important for me when I am paying a very reasonable price: location and cleanliness. This hotel offered me both. The room is nothing special but it is clean and the most impressive for me was the bathroom which was new (which is very rare) and very well cleaned. I appreciated it very much. I can't tell you much about the service since I stayed only a night but they were nice and efficient in the reception. Keep in mind that it is on the 4th floor but has a modern elevator.
I was greeted by an extremely RUDE older front desk man. He was still working in the morning when I woke up and just as rude as he was the night before. he made me feel very uncomfortable. The bed was broken old and uncomfortable. The towels are not towels more like some type of sheet material. The room was hot muggy and smelled bad. The hotel is old run down and thank god I was here only one night. I was worried I would get bed bugs sleeping here. There are no amenities or services or nice soap or anything provided. This rates as one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at in my life. The staff made it even worse. On a scale of 10, I rate it a -1000.....
A good hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Bathroom is good although the shower is a bit quirky. Hotel has a restaurant which looked reasonable although we didn't eat there. Nice breakfast catering for all tastes. Very helpful staff all speak good English. Receptionist gave us some great advice about what to do in Venice and how to travel. About 1/2 hour into centre of Venice by tram.
Well I've never been so disappointed On this holiday as I was after one night here. We paid $916 for five nights here and would expect at least a room that had a bit of niceness about it. The bed head made me squeamish. We are staying in budget hotels and I know what to expect. It we got ripped off here. God, it is SOOOO noisy I couldn't believe it, and the window faces the street. The room was so hot and stuffy it needs to be open but then the room filled with Mosquitos. The queen bed has two old brown blankets crossways to cover the queen bed. Pillows are like a pancake and you need about three each but you only get three in the room. No spare blankets, and the towels are cotton, like a tablecloth. Our window was bare but had wooden shutters on the inside, of which one wouldn't close enough to keep the light out... the sun shon straight at the bed in the mornings. I don't mind old fashioned but this was the ugliest room Ive ever stayed in. Maybe we just were just unlucky, and got the worst room in the hotel. Needs maintenance, especially the window. I could go on and on, but I won't. This hotel is not worth the money. Ps when we got there they advertised the rooms for half the price we paid. Grrrrrrr Maybe then it would be worth the money. Maybe Australia has set high standards for us :)
For me was ok. The location is very good. I have read here someone wrote it was very noisy but I wonder why as I closed the window ( actually three, interior , exterior and into the middle ) and no noise at all. Very kind people, clean and very hot water in the bathroom. They have to work on breakfast. Too much cakes from the store, too many sweets, no fresh food, for example a tomato, or fresh fruits.
Would never stay here again! Stayed here very recently, on our 3 month travel trip so naturally we chose this place due to pricing. Staying here at this time was a bad choice though. Due to the lack of people, the staff hovered around us and never failed to ask us, "Do you stay here? What's your room no.?" when we went to the lobby. WiFi immediately cut out in the rooms, so the lobby was the only choice for access. Walls are paper thin (could hear beyond water flowing...) but our room was nice enough. Bathroom was fine, although the towels were the same fabric as tablecloths. The staff were unnerving to say the least and very uninterested in catering for people. Mind you, the breakfast was fun! They had a pancake machine!
My partner & I were staying here for 3nights (to long in this hotel) in florence on our trip around europe, we had our travel agent book this, as location is very good, although we moved rooms after the first night as neither of us got much sleep because of the traffic & there was an awful smell coming from the bathroom which I noticed also lingers through out the hallways. Pillows are very flat, we had to ask for atleast 2 more, some rooms are better then others but the hotel doesnt seem to have much standard. I recommend doing research before booking this one, i would never stay here again.
At only 100 mts from the train station and a few blocks from the historical center, this may not be the clasical hotel, is situated in an appartment building, and not real hallmarks easy to find, but the location great, the management absolutelly kind, breakfast its endless , my room was ok, not much more that i was willing to pay for, so by all means i was more than fine, now if you look for a fancy hotel, maybe is not the one. but this is location location location and kindness all time.
It is a bad experience for us to try this hotel. 3 of us stays in this hotel for 4 continuously nights. The bed sheets were very dirty and we discovered the ants go over the bed sheets. There were 3 power sockets in the room but only 1 was working. The water got a bad smelling too. We found a thin layer of the white powder on our skins after we took a shower. The hair dryer was not working as well. The walls of the room was very thin liked a partition. You can hear neighbor turn on the water tap to take a bath and the sound of close the cabinet door clearly. Moreover, the staffs are very rude especially the young guy in the reception, he was not only express unwelcoming but also give a pressure to the people who took too much foods & waters from the table. I am very disappointed and it was a terrible experience I had ever stayed in overseas hotels. I really not recommend you to try this hotel.
As is stated in all the reviews, the location of this place is awesome. Not 500m from the main train station with walking distance to all the sights. Seriously in the thick of it. Easy to find. It is a very basic hotel on 4th floor of a busy road. Reception staff were helpful with their limited English. Allowed us early check in and storage of luggage with ease. Nice complimentary drinks and snacks in reception area. We has a very quiet room with view into a tiny courtyard. So no view but a bonus was we slept wonderfully as the room totally quiet. Ask for room 157. Clean room with basic amenities, furniture a bit dated. Not even type of room you can relax and have a drink in. Sole function is to get clean and sleep. Comfortable bed. Air-conditioning worked. Shower next to toilet with curtain. Water pressure was good and water hot. Towels were strange. Thin material similar to a table cloth but worked. Breakfast buffet was more than sufficient. Eggs. Cold meats. Assorted breads. Pastries. Cereal and some fruits. Good coffee and basic fruit juices. Overall for price breakfast was OK. Lovely small terrace outside to look over the rooftops. Nice place to relax if weather is good. By Florence standards price was average at 68 euro for two people. OK value for money. Recommendation for the owmers is to just upgrade the room decor.
