From Florence central to the hotel, you need to take around 15mins bus trip. It was okay, there are 2 bus stops that are near the hotel (line 17 and 22, both pass the Firenze S. M. Novella Station). The staffs, especially the reception that was on stand by in night shift, were really friendly. We moved to this hotel after experiencing the absolute hell of Florence Experience Hostel. The room was clean, the bathroom also clean, the breakfast was basic but good enough. The wifi can use some improvement as I experienced some difficulty, but nothing major as I have NL sim card, so internet is not a problem for me.
_The rooms were big _friendly staff and good speaking English _far from city center but you can take bus near hotel with walking 5 min _the bathroom was big and clean _break fast was good comparing with same level hotels
Whenever I book a hotel I always guide myself by the reviews (which I always set to be above 8.0 at least). Either I was unlucky or, by some sort of magic, the hotel rooms deprecated dramatically in just a few days after the dates of the last super-very-positive reviews written on booking.com, but the point is: my room was... not as impeccable as the other travelers said about theirs. Room 101. Once we entered the room, we were warmly welcomed by a mosquito. Still thirsty apparently, though, after I hugged the dude in order to return his welcome, I noticed that he was already full of somebody else's blood. Little Dexter... Next, after I closed the room door, I noticed that the walls are decorated with some sort of murals. But they didn't quite match the Florentine style. That's because I was wrong! They were just some big stains of water and mold. Could be some art nouveau thing, dunno, I'm not an expert... Big enough room. Could fit a party. The other "stoned" mosquitos from the walls would probably agree. Maybe the hotels stars standards differ from city to city but, even the room had decent facilities, I've never encountered in another 3-stars hotel such dirty walls or a shower cabin that looks like a half an hour DIY project. When I told the friendly guy (I mean it, he was actually very hospitable) at the reception about mosquito and dirt, his reaction was something like: "Eh... sorry to hear that. Eh... mosquitos are everywhere.". Sorry doesn't help after I payed for the room and mosquitos are not the only beings that you can find everywhere in Florence. He could at least offer us some compensatory ants or pigeons. The wi-fi connection was poor, there was no phone nor safety box (although they were supposed to be), but it's ok... we always bring our own safe when we travel abroad and our cell phone plans covered all our needs.
Just out of city centre, so not to noisy . Bus 29 will take you into town. Close to some little cafes. Cant complain. All good for price paid. I was really comfortable here and had a decent sleep. Breakfast was good.
The hotel was far away from any of the action of Florence although it is labeled as a central hotel. The wifi never worked for us which was a real nightmare when trying to organise travel and decide what to do with our days. The TV and plug sockets also did not work. The rooms were fine for a budget stay but it was not worth what we paid. The breakfasts were very unpleasant, the cereal was like eating cardboard. We left a day early from our original check out date.
We checked in at 10pm and checked out as soon as we could! I have nothing positive to say about this hotel and having gone on my honeymoon I will never forget the awful experience. When we arrived we were greated by the elderly receptionist who told us that the hotel was like the Divine Comedy. The rooms:heaven; the reception: purgatory and the breakfast room:hell! The corridors are dark and the doors all looked unsteady;almost as if they had been forced open. When we got to our room we saw the old TV had fallen off its support and was on the floor. We rushed to tell the old and he changed our room. The new room was very cold; the windows had been left open; they wouldn't close! The bed was very old and the mattress... Obviously there was no TV. The room had a feel of dirtiness to it. The bathroom? Recycled toilet paper, loose bidet tap, a blocked washbasin and a shower curtain... I slept in my day clothes. The following morning breakfast was atrocious! They serve croissants in a packet (from some low cost supermarket) and the Italian fette biscottate were tipped out onto a plate for everyone to touch... The experience of this hotel somewhat ruined my day in Florence! The hotel should be closed down! This is my experience; you have been warned...
For the price that we paid it was the worse choice. It was far from the center although there was a bus stop 200 meters away, the room was terrible, we had a bathroom designed for disabled people. The staff was nice but other than this positive thing everything else was wrong. If you go there at least don't get the room 66. we paid here 70€ per night meanwhile in Rome we paid 40€ per night and was a great 3 star hotel. To this one I wouldn't give it one star.
Simply all we needed as a base to explore Florence from. The rooms were decorated traditionally, very spacious and had all we needed. The breakfast buffet offered a wide choice and the staff were friendly and always on hand to offer advice. Would not hesitate to stay again or to recommend.
Me and My girlfriend find this nice hotel, they had exactly what we were needed for low price/ close to bus stations, close to big super Market, very pleased staff that help us with any question. good hotel for low price in Florence.
They have really good prices but you aren't getting much for your money, just the basics: bed, toilet, shower. It is also about 3 km outside the historic centre, but there is a bus stop literally around the corner that takes you to the train station in about 15 minutes; otherwise it is a taxi ride in or a 45 minute walk. By typical European Hotel I mean the bed is awful, there is no Air Conditioning, and the washroom is literally a shower with a drain in the middle of the floor and a toilet and sink. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is just assorted pastries. If you are on a budget this is the place to go but don't except to be comfortable.
