"The room was clean. The carpet is very worn down. The staff was knocking on doors for housekeeping. They left my door open so that was scary because I was gone for 2 hours. The bathroom was very worn down. They need to update the a/c window units. It was cool at night during the week. The ocean view was really spectacular! It was beautiful when the sun went down. It was hot during the day. They do have a bar called Surfside Grille. I was impressed with the bartender. The margarita was really good. The seafood chowder was so fresh. I was very happy with my meal. They had a live rock band outside for one night. Luckily they didn’t play too long. The price is good for an old beachside hotel. It’s very quiet at night. It is a 20 minute walk to the main boardwalk area. I did get DoorDash for food delivery. The Lynnhaven mall is a 25 minute drive. I recommend The Whiskey Kitchen by the Regal theater. Also Beignets and Brew coffee shop is excellent!!!"
