Booked only for 3 nights stay for the cottages however upon arrival was given the Superior standard. Staff advised that due to bad weather it was best to have me close to front desk & commented that the cottage was not very nice? (never got s chance to view) Otherwise TC Gita & flight cancellation I ended up staying for 8 nights. Hotel Staff was pleasant, the Boutique very help ful & Judy at Beauty Parlour superb. Budget accomodatiom 👍
A transit stopover in Nadi for the night. I booked online. The room was basic was fine as I arrived late and was leaving early the next day. Luckily, the bar was still open so I settled in for a couple of drinks. Very nice bar staff who were patient with me as I was the last customer. I'm sure they wanted to close the bar but waited for me to finish. I appreciated that. They have free shuttle service to the airport but depends on the time of your flight. I checked out at 4:30am the next day and the service wasn't available so I had to take a taxi to the airport (which is close). It's good enough for an overnight stop.
Booked for one night before returning home. Basic and old. Is clean with minimal facilities for the price. Within walking distance of some restaurants. Only positive is our nights cost allows us to stay until 6pm for a later flight.
Tanoa Skylodge is my first choice as it has always given me a homely feeling. The personalised service and touch of management and staff is a unique experience. The only place where focused is genuine relationship building. Awesome budget accommodation for business, NGOs and budget accommodation. Centrally located to all utilities, medical facilities and other services. Recently refurbished with upgraded pool facilities and deck. Not to forget where the Manager Raj Singh goes always an extra mile to meet, greet and give the best service. Tanoa skylodge is indeed a home always from home.
I helped source to choose a hotel for our week-long workshop for the organization I work for and chose the best that suited all our needs which was Sky Lodge hotel in Nadi by the Tanoa group. This was more than a decade ago and until now 2018, we are still using Sky Lodge for many good reasons. The main one to mention though which I strongly believe brings back their clients to their property is the friendliness and always willing-to-help attitude of the staff right from the top level which automatically spills down to every level. Their going above and beyond normal call of duties is always refreshing! What an efficient and excellent team they have!
Sadly, this was a disappointing stay. We chose the hotel for its proximity to Nadi airport but even this doesn't recommend it. It's on the pricey side for what it is. The walls are paper thin so you will hear other travellers rolling suitcases down the hall throughout the night. The taps dripped incessantly which you hear through the bathroom door. The TV didn't work. There was no hairdryer in the room. There was no wifi in the room even though this was advertised. One positive was the air con which worked very well. The room was also nice and clean. A previous traveller's alarm went off in the middle of the night - I don't normally check this as every hotel I have ever stayed in (many) has cleared the alarm when preparing the room. The food took excruciatingly long to come out at the restaurant- I had to chase my order after an hour and even then waited another half an hour. On the plus side, the food was hot and decent and inexpensive. The bar had a very weird vibe with some old Aussies on 'dates' with pretty young Fijian girls, who then retired to their rooms together. Staff are nice though. Do yourself a favour and stay in Nadi ("Nan-di") central. You'll have lots more choice and a licensed taxi to the airport takes about 20 mins and should cost no more than 10 FJD on the meter.
I made the mistake of confusing this hotel with the significantly better Tanoa International hotel also in Nadi. This hotel is a one star at best hotel. You’ll stay in a dingy run down concrete block room and you’ll be lucky if the air con and TV works. I cut this stay short and moved out the same day and of course being Fiji I was offered no refund, I wouldn’t stay in this hotel if I was paid to.
My husband and i stayed at hotel for 2 nights ($81 AUD for family room). Room was large with self contained kitchen although fridge didn't work - lucky we didn't need it. Air conditioner was good and we had 2 double and 1 single beds. Unit was one of 8 (I think) in a bungalow located on spacious grounds. although beside main road we didn't notice traffic noise. Only noise was neighbours waking up at 6am, slamming doors and dragging bags. It would be very noisy in noisy neighbours. The room was clean but very very dated - old chipped tiles, shoddy furniture. It is very tired and in desperate need of update. Staff were good although couldn't help us with tours as they didn't know anything. We had a meal in restaurant - DON"T ORDER THE PIZZA - its the worst I've ever tasted. Security was good - bars on windows and security guards. Car Parking available. Free wifi for 1 day in reception - hasn't reached units yet but cabling handing down from the ceiling. There is a pool and a bar, guest laundry
It's absurd to say that there is no smoking, but no one seems to police it. The hotel guests adjacent to me were a group of ladies from a Fijian Womens' group. I complained about the marijuana smoke and alcohol fuelled noise to management, yet the the next night it was worse ( yelling and screaming). I informed security, but it didn't make any difference. In the early hours of the morning, I left my hotel room and slept on the lounge in Reception. My holiday package included airport shuttle to and from the airport. The taxi driver demanded that I pay for the journey. By this stage I was very sleep deprived and I told off the driver for trying to stop "ripping people off!"
The place ,the staff and the management are just wounderful,my stay for 4 days they really looked after myself and my cousins. The place is under construction but nothing obstruct you ,wish a stayed bit longer may be next time till than all the best .
