The property location is beautiful and worth it even if it is a bit far from the airport and main action.
Staff is helpful in general but front desk is not. We arrived early and since our room was not ready, and there was no reasonable facility to shower and freshen up for a morning out, we accepted the offer to upgrade to a higher-priced Bures which was available. Only to sit around waiting for hours for housekeeping to clean it. The lady at front desk ended her shift and walked away. When my wife went to check with the new staff in charge, she was rudely shooed away. I had to escalate to the manager, Margaret, who did get us the room ASAP. Overall, rontdesk was neither efficient nor nice to deal with. Suggest to get male senior staff to keep the catty women in check and make it a friendly atmosphere.
Pizza for lunch at the pool was terrible - not Margherita but just frozen Cheese and tomato on old dough heated up. Just not Hilton standard.
Not enough vegetarian options on the a la carte menu - but Penne Arrabiata for dinner was excellent.
Sunset River Cruise was a major fail - boat did not startup and we just spent the evening on our balcony.
Overall, expect more from a Hilton - looks like it was recently taken over and the staff and menu may be a carryover. Suggest a refresh of leadership and more training to make this world-class and worthy of the lovely property instead of a mediocre local experience.
